McKinney Wants Two Investigations
WXIA-TV ATLANTA (Channel 11) ^ | May 19, 2002 | Jon Shirek

Posted on 05/19/2002 5:28:19 PM PDT by Jen

Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney seemed unmoved by President Bush's insistence Friday that he did not ignore warning signs about the Sept. 11 attacks.

McKinney, who spoke as she tried to escape reporters in DeKalb County, said Congress should launch not one, but at least two investigations.

McKinney, who was widely criticized after insisting in March that Bush ignored warnings of an impending attack, said Friday that all she ever wanted was an investigation.

11Alive's Jon Shirek asked McKinney about critics who called her reprehensible for suggesting that President Bush might have allowed the attacks so his friends in the defense industries could profit from a war.

"Well, you know, I never said that, and it's very important that we understand, I called for an investigation," she responded.

On March 25, McKinney told listeners of KPFA-FM in Berkeley, Calif., that former President Bush might be making money from the defense industry during this war.

McKinney said, "Former President Bush sits on the board of the Carlyle Group. The Los Angeles Times reports that on a single day last month, Carlyle earned $237 billion selling shares...the army's fifth largest contractor."

McKinney asked Friday why Congress should not investigate the former president, his son, and the defense industries.

"And that's an investigation also that could take place along the lines of the Enron investigation," she said.

Denise Majette, a retired state judge seeking to unseat McKinney in Georgia's 4th District, said McKinney succeeds only at making inflammatory statements she can't back up to get attention and votes.

"Trying to divert attention from the real issues. The fact that she's been a totally ineffective legislator in the ten years that she's been in Congress," said Majette.

McKinney says only that she is gratified that so many others, including Majette, have joined her in calling for an investigation of what the president knew before the attacks.

I was listening to Cheney being interviewed on FOX this evening. I guess others here may have watched it. When asked about this "incindiary accusation" (forgive my lousy spelling please) against President Bush, who was it that came to mind, and the first person that came to our Vice Presidents mind was, guess who, Cynthia McKinney. I think she's made ?friends? in very high places, what do you think? I would not want that kind of attention if I were her, unless I had some hard evidence on my side. Richard Gephardt is already doing a fast waffling back-track of his own, it was hilarious to watch.

I am spending some time today exploring the Emporers Clothes web site.

They have extensive articles on the Sept 11 attack :

Here is another site that is full of 9/11 conspiracy stuff:

The Emperor's New Clothes
Piercing a Fog of Lies

They also have a mirror site at globalresistance.com.

I wonder if McKinney is reading the site or perhaps they are even getting funding help from the Demorat's.

I find this most interesting .

--------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 18 September about 100,000 readers transferred more than 1.7 gigabytes of data from Emperor's Clothes. That's the equivalent of over 1.5 million pages in printed books.

As you may know, the Website was "down" for about four hours that day. We are strained beyond capacity trying to get out the word.

We recently hired a full time computer person, remodeled the Website, and now need to adapt to the huge increase in demand for Emperor's Clothes.

I see absolutely no difference between Cynthia McKinney and Ann Compton of ABC news.

Compton said that she was in the room when President Bush was told of the second attack on the WTC and she could tell by the look in his eyes that he had known in advance.

Since its establishment in 1987, The Carlyle Group has grown from a group of four investors with $5 million in capital to one of the world’s largest private equity firms. As of September 2001, the firm had over $12.5 billion in capital committed to 17 private equity funds.

Actually, the question asked of Cheney on today's FNS was about whom was he referring to in his speech late last week when charcaterizing others as acting in a way that was unworthy of "national leaders"..........

Cheney then answered with the name McKinney.....which he had to quickly back off from when asked if he really thought of her as a "national leader".

If Blitzer doesn't set the record straight, everybody is left to wonder who "Cynthia White" is.

I believe that you are a bit presumptive. Everybody? Did you really need Blitzer to point it out?

I knew who in the hell Dick Armey was talking about. Perhaps you would have gotten a clue if he had said "Cynthia Black".

Remember "Barney Fag"? Perhaps Mr. Armey is just ahead of a few of you folks.

In other words, Catherine McKinney is an idiot.

Well after all, it's only money. Who's counting? Million, billion, it's just a matter of oughts, and an ought is nothin'. But it shows that our fine Georgia representative is still tryin' to learn to cypher.

Cynthia Ann has also effortlessly moved our lunar base to Mars. So maybe we ought ( ha! ) to moon Cynthia Ann.

Dang, I wish I'd seen that. "Cindy McNinney" needs no 'evidence' to be her outrageous self.
