Mom to take break from nude dancing so daughter can graduate from kindergarten

A 5-year-old Rancho Cordova girl will return to kindergarten at the Capital Christian School after being expelled last week because administrators discovered her mother works as a nude dancer.

Christina Silvas, 24, agreed to stop working at Gold Club Centerfolds off Highway 50 for at least the next three weeks so her daughter can graduate from kindergarten and attend the end-of-the-year pool party she had been looking forward to.

The gossip mongerers at the church thought it was their business. It might have been the business of the pastor, but was it the business of the gossipy congregants?

Oh, come on. How would Silvas' violation of the rules come to the attention of the pastor -- whose business you agree it is -- without someone telling him? And even then, the action that was taken was not to simply bounce her and her daughter, it was to help her find another way to support her child.

I don't know if you consider yourself a Christian, but I do, and when I find that someone is on a self-destructive track, I try to help readjust them.

Agreed. I understand the Las Vegas strippers pull in about 20,000 a month. Now Sacramento is not Vegas, but with all those politicians and lobbyists, those girls are making some good money.

You know, it just struck me what a strange place California is. In a Christian school like this, a little girl can get expelled because her mom is a stripper. If she went to public school, her mom would be invited to perform for the class as part of some "diversity" initiative. Life just doesn't get any weirder.

First, I don't know for a fact that our "future marine biologist" may not really BE a future marine biologist. Second, there is no doubt that drug activity takes place in many clubs- a quick reading of the daily newspaper will tell you that. But, if you are going to talk about "sexual abuse" and "violence", you may want to be a tad more specific.

Glad to see you've already backed off your foolish "nothing wrong at all" statement. Keep reading the newspapers and see how many violent crimes occur around the strip club culture. Young women enter the profession for a number of desperate reasons, offering themselves up to horny males, for they lack the necessary support or self-esteem to succeed elsewhere. They rarely leave as a more refined, educated, and well-adjusted person. Do you think they really enjoy, deep down, long hours of shaking their bare bodies to drunken strangers? Do you think that has no detrimental effect on their psyches? Many strippers become lesbians because they tire so of seeing the worst of male behavior every night. The few who actually escape the lifestyle and go on to lead a full, accomplished life do so in spite of their stripping career, not because of it.

SCRIPTURE says that GOD will no longer allow the children to be punished for the sins of the parents.. but that every man would bear his own responsibility for what he or she does.

Religions seem to take great pleasure in choosing to emphasize professional "gnat straining" (what mom does to raise money... and I guarantee you the ahem "christian men" in the congregation are familiar with her work!!!), while carrying on the age old orgy of "camel swallowing", (kicking the daughter OUT of an allegedly GODLY and MORAL environment, avoiding that damned 'suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them NOT' clause, spoken by the MASTER of heaven and earth). But hey, who listens to Jesus in the Church today? Priests, Pastors, so-called Christian Leaders? Jesus said forbid them not... but what does HE know?

He must not have known there would be strippers in our day and age, when he uttered those archaic instructions. Funny but the pharisees didn't like his instructions then either. Seems those guys are around in every generation. PUKE.

I am convinced that some of the ladies in this particular church got her kid thrown out, after HUBBIES went to see said "stripper mommie" perform on stage.

According to a previous article, there were "rumors" (guess the good folks don't mind gossiping, although the Bible mentions it), so one "righteous" church member took on the tedious task of visiting some porn sites to find her pics.

Silvas said she had hidden her job from school officials until this week, when a parent learned that she was part of a radio station's "calendar girl" promotion and called the church. The church checked the station's Web site, which led to Silvas' stripping connection. Amazing how many people are awake at 0055hrs on a Sunday morning....I firmly believe that this child attending a Christian pre-school is far more important than what her Mother happens to be involved in. I would say to Mom " You did the right thing with your daughter, can we talk about your life"? I've seen a few parents come to Christ by their children attending Vacation Bible School, maybe this "Mom" can do the same.

BTW, I'm saying this without having seen any interviews involving this Mom or the Pastor.
