My friends, I want you to listen to my brilliant Hour One challenge to the Republicans in Congress. The Democrats are demanding top-secret documents prepared for the president on Osama bin Laden and Middle Eastern men training at our flight schools.
Ari Fleischer says the White House is working with congressional committees investigating the matter. Cheney warned against playing politics, and Condolleezza Rice gave a briefing. All that's fine, but if congressional Republicans do not repeatedly and loudly demand likewise for Sandy Berger, Madeleine Albright - and, yes, Bill Clinton - to get to the bottom of their failure to act on the Sudanese government's offer to hand over Osama bin Laden, then they're not worth supporting.
I am very serious about this. If the White House is going to contribute, it's up to House Republicans to borrow, beg or grow a spine and conduct themselves the way the Democrats would in these sorts of circumstances. If congressional Republicans don't assert themselves, Daschle Democrats are going to roll right over them in this investigation and it's going to turn out to be nothing more than a Robert Bork-type hearing.
This is not about blame or "gotcha." It's about facts. In the current See, I Told You So, I remind you that of my warning that foreign policy would be then-Governor Clinton's downfall - and now stories are coming out about exactly this sort of thing happening related to September the 11th. CNN reports that the United States was warned in 1995 of a plot to hijack airplanes and attack buildings, and sent a similar warning on September 11th...of 1999. Fight it, guys - now.
I am of the belief that America has stayed as prosperous as we are because of our philanthropic nature in helping those who are in need. Granted there should be criteria that is met now whether those who receive aid are allies or not. Those we help should be in strategic positions for our benefit.
No one denies any of that. He is moral, and a big part of his morality thinks that sharing the wealth is an ethical thing to do. One need not be a Marxist to believe in this sort of thing, for verification, read up on Huey Long.
His religious character is fine, so far as it goes. He's not the sort to molest school girls in the Oval Office. He quit drinking in his middle age. Fine. What this tells me is that he waited until he was forty years old to grow up and quit acting like a kid.
And he is a uniter. The trouble is, he wants to unite the continental US with Mexico, and the US economy with Red China. The advisability of that is open to question, to say the least. He wants us all to quit confronting ghetto trash, perverts, and con artists bent on the deconstruction, disassembly, and destruction of the USA and the ideology which establishes it as the last, best hope for the human race.
With things like these being touted as conservatism, what is there left for conservatives to conserve these days, pray tell?
Before you spout passive-aggressive crap like that, why don't you take the time to check out my profile? It's easy to do, just click on my name.
And by checking your profile page what should that tell me? Ok I checked it. You're a Keyes fan and he's the only adult in politics. You despise those of the liberal, socialists, libertine persuasion. I rest my case. and restate what I said "we have to consider the poster, such as yourself, frame of reference."
I consider Alan Keyes and Bush very honorable men. But too many think that Alan Keyes is greater than Bush in some way. They are both public servants that if given the opportunity would do America proud.
Bush would have been unable to do the country harm back in a less turbulent time in American history, perhaps the late 1880's. He shows absolutely no awareness of or inclination to be aware of the exact nature of the liberal-socialist axis and the psychotic liberal lifestyle left.
Thus, he is not inclined to confront or even make uncomfortable those who wish to dismantle the USA and the philosophical premises upon which it is founded. He exhibits absolutely no seriousness about it, and thus is doing the country perhaps irreparable harm.
Oh yes indeed I think that Keyes would be an infinitely better president than anything the Bush family can produce. Keyes approaches the problems with a sense of gravity which is beyond the Bush's ability to conceptualize.
I would think someone wanting to "share the wealth" would not be for tax cuts to give the people their money back.
"waited to 40 years old to grow up"
That's a cheap shot. If that was true - how can he start at 40 and become a governor two terms and a president? Why would we elect one who waited until 40 to grow up - that sounds like Gore or Clinton.
I would think he just probably got offtrack but had the guts to get himself back on track, to learn that he is unable to drink and from then on stayed away from it totally. That sounds pretty courageous to me and pretty self-disciplined.
He wants us all to quit confronting ghetto trash, perverts, and con artists bent on the deconstruction, disassembly, and destruction of the USA and the ideology which establishes it as the last, best hope for the human race.
Have no idea what you are referring to here.
Uniter?
A uniter is what we need as the superpower. We have to lead - and people are led more easily with a person that joins with them as they go in the right direction rather than one telling them what to do.
Frankly I agree with his philosophy that the more you trade with countries like China - the more our values creep into their culture and they eventually come to depend on the trade and will be hesitant to do things that will disrupt that source of income. The Chinese people will become familiar with the free world.
Also - I think the stronger our ties are with Mexico and Canada the better.
Still dealing in total absurdities I see. Can you offer proof of these ridiculous charges? Why not try to state a fact every now and then just for practice. Or have you none to state?
As for Red China, all one needs do is read about Bush referring to it as a trading partner, as well as a partner for peace. If you have forgotten that, or have never bothered to read about it, well, sorry, but I can't help you there, either.
East Asia is more than aware of the free world. The free world is what they consider the far off lands of foreign barbarians. They want nothing from us except technology and superficial accoutrements which give them the guise of power and prestige. That's as far as East Asian use for the Western world goes.
In a nutshell, for every solution we perceive, they see a problem. They are a very defiant bunch, devious, conspiring, passive aggressive, and bent on world domination. Honesty over there is considered stupidity. The only thing that succeeds is the fait accompli, the only thing that persuades is brute force. The skills which we need to acquire through specialized training, like used car salesmanship, for example, is natural behavior for them. They think us idiotic because we imagine honesty to be the best policy, and have laws to enforce breaches of trust. East Asia imagines honesty foolishness, and laws to enforce it a waste of government resources.
I lived in Japan for ten years and am quite sure of what I write. I could go on, but I'd be writing for the next hour and a half and you'd fall asleep.
----------------------
I see little evidence of this. I see evidence that people want to believe it, but I see no evidence of it.
Without belaboring the point, your facts to substantiate your rather ridiculous charges don't. You might wish to consider making up some new charges. Maybe they will come closer to reality. But I doubt it.
