Take all the other posters have given you with a good heart. I will only add that the attempt to deal with Moussari was squashed by a judge who refused to allow agencies access to his computer files. Any bets on what judge and who appointed him?

Please note that on September 15, a mere four days after the attacks, the Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, told Tim Russert on Meet the Press that the intelligence services had, in fact, received general threat information about Al Quaeda, its threats to attack American interests, and the like. There has been no release of "NEW INFORMATION" about alleged warnings to the White House. The so-called revelations from this past week are a pathetic attempt by the Democrat Party to tarnish the popularity of this nation's president. The American people see right through this. So should you.

To the point of the intelligence services not "connecting the dots" -- there is much fault to be found here with the previous administration, the Congress, and petty turf wars between governmental agencies. The Democrat Party's effort to lambast the Bush administration with these long-standing ills is atrocious. But par for the course.

Who do you think should have connected the dots? President Bush? How bogus.

Remember who was in place in the FBI and in the CIA - all higher echelons are staffed with Clintonistas - or were last summer. I don't know how many have been replaced now - one can only hope many.

These agencies were NOT THERE TO PROTECT AMERICANS UNDER CLINTON - THEY WERE THERE TO PROTECT BILL CLINTON AND TO HARM HIS ENEMIES.

There is good reason the FBI agent's assessment didn't get to President Bush. The people higher up would not have had it as a top priority to take such an agent's warning seriously enough to pass it to the highest levels in the government. Why? They were still serving Bill Clinton!!! not the American people!!!!

Isn't it odd that this whole tragedy could have been avoided if BILL CLINTON had captured Bin Laden when the Somalis gave him up.

That's what the grownups are supposed to be doing.

Bush had been in office for a few months. What did clinton do with daily briefings like that (and worse) for 8 years?

There are many vexing questions about this stunning news, but one of the biggest is why it took eight months for the White House to admit it had received early warnings about the day of infamy.

You're right. Let's get the Roosevelt Administration on this right away.

Meanwhile, this is the Administration that has been excoriated for issuing terrorism warnings based on general information. Can you therefore blame them for not bringing up another one? Or do you, like the liberals in Congress and the media, merely want to back-seat drive?

It didn't receive "early warnings about the day of infamy". It received a general warning about possible plans to hijack airliners. This was nothing new. To suggest that this general warning in a security brief was some type of early warning about the day of infamy is either naive or disengenuous.

What's interesting about this trumped-up scandal is what DIDN'T happen:

*No documents were shredded.
*No files, billing records, or e-mails were lost.
*No WH officials have pleaded the fifth amendment or developed selective amnesia.
*No witnesses have died mysteriously, went to jail to avoid answering questions, or fled to Europe to avoid subpoenas.
*No investigators have been trashed in the media or suddenly audited by the IRS.
*No sleazy characters have come forth to distribute or solicit "dirt" on investigators.
*No cats have been murdered, no tires slashed, no anonymous threats received by witnesses or investigators.
*No claims of Executive Privilege have been lodged.
*No attempts to conceal or destroy evidence have been noted.

The press must be going nuts trying to allege a cover-up, when none of this is being covered up.

Documents relating to the events are actually where they're supposed to be, and officials are giving answers instead of evasive non-replies.

Is anyone noticing this?

All the American people want is to know why this terrible thing happened.

Well, I can clue them in. You see, there are a bunch of Islamic terrorists who hate the United States. They thought it would be a good idea to hijack some planes and crash them into some big buildings in the U.S. They thought that those actions would show the big mean USA that the Islamics were a good peaceful religion.

They are not fighting the investigation.

I hope the investigation will also demand to know why Clinton did not go after Ben Laden with all our military power after all the terrorist attacks suffered during his 8 year reign from hell.

FR investigators will be glad to assist and have ample evidence right now to indict Bill Clinton for negligence of our national security and betrayal of the public trust.

The fact that the LEADER of the Democratic "party" did NOTHING but lob a few cruise missiles at an aspirin plant and an empty tent during 8 years in office - while this country endured the WTC bombing, the Khobar towers bombing, the US Embassy bombings and the USS COle bombings tells you that the Democratic party HAS PUT ALL AMERICANS AT RISK BECAUSE OF THEIR DISMANTLING AND DESTRUCTION OF OUR SECURITY FORCES!!!!

I have given you the benefit of the doubt, rather than immediately labeling you a disruptor or democrat shill. However, you do seem to be parrotting the DNC talking points prepared by Terry MacAwful.

btw, where did you get your insight into what the American people want?
