This is a special double-edition daily dose due to FR being down yesterday...
President Bush and his administration were in the defensive today as Democrats and the media swarmed around revelations that the President was given a general warning about possible hijackings before September 11th. It was revealed later in the day that the very same Democrats leading the negative charge, Tom Daschle and Dick Gephardt, also knew of the briefings yet failed to let the media know. By the end of the day, it was the Republicans in Congress leading the charge and taking the Democrats to task for their usual games of partisan slander.
This afternoon, in a move to give the public more knowledge on the exact nature of the briefings, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice confronted the media with detailed national security intelligence in the months leading up to September 11th. It was made clear that the intelligence briefings given to the President were not specific or detailed enough to prevent the suicide bomber attacks.
In much lighter news, the President began the day at the First Annual National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast. Later he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy.

This is truly a witch hunt - but like everything else the dems have tried, this won't work either. Everybody just hold on tight and keep telling your local media that you're not buying this latest scam by the dems.
I was thinking today how amazing it is that there wasn't any outrage over Daschle and Gephardt's request of the cable news channels to not show President Bush so much. And there wasn't any outrage over the fact that MSNBC and CNN complied with their request. Say now, isn't that the government controlling the media and the press? Shouldn't that be an outrage to our friends in the free press? Shouldn't the NYT have editorialized like crazy about that? But no, they didn't. Not a peep. They all like to condemn other countries that have government controlled media and yet, here we have it in our own backyard and not a peep. Disgusting. I hate the press, WITH A PASSION!
Yes, but ... they can slow down. I asked the Lord tonight to do with the ratpackdems what He did with Haman in the book of Esther, only I asked that Haman's end be their portion politically, not physically. Haman, an enemy of Queen Esther and her Jewish people in exile, tried to have them all slaughtered by edict of Esther's husband, King Artaxerxes. When Esther revealed to her husband that she was also Jewish, the king let the Jews defend themselves against his order, that could not be reversed, to have them murdered. Then the gallows that Haman erected to slay Esther's relative, Mordecai, became the gallows on which the king ordered him hanged. And all he owned was given to Mordecai. I think it's only right and proper that everything the demratpack try to steal from a righteous governing authority should be taken from them, since they are using it ill, and given to the ones who serve the needs of the people.
Let the demrats have the political future of Haman, after the king discovered his treachery and deceit for his own gain.

Just when you think you can't admire him more than you already do, you find out that he's even more wonderful than you thought! The prayer support is the most important thing we can do for this Godly man! I truly belive that the reason he is so calm amid these storms is that the peace of Jesus Christ is with him every moment of every day!

Condi referenced her comments by saying something about pulling information together for a Congressional investigation. Hope this was right. Anyone else hear how all this got blown from a molehill to a mountain today?
