My sister was diagnosed with a rare lung disease on Friday, Interstatial Lung Disease. The prognosis is terminal. She is only 29 and in otherwise good health.
Appearantly, an infection, the nature of which is unknown, is producing a constant state of pneumonia. Since the doctors don't know the nature of the infection, they can not stop it. It is causing scar tissue to form all throughout the lungs. Scar tissue isn't very elastic and will not permit oxygen to travel from the lungs to the blood.
End result is that the doctor said in 1 to 2 years she will suffocate.
Requesting prayers for her and any medical info that could be of help/leads in stopping this infection before it ruins the remaining lung tissue.

I just saw your post today, but I pray for those on the prayer list every day. I pray for Gods comfort for Sara and all your family.
If she has already gone to God, I pray that you can feel the 'joy' in that knowledge, even though you feel pain.

I lost my mother on July 28th, and I share your sorrow. What pain we all have to go through! Four months have passed for me and I don't cry as often. Prayers from this forum helped me get through it.

I pray the Lord will bless you and your family in this time.
It is a very tough time for you but in the past my family has had some of the most spiritual times with loved ones in the last hours of their life.
My mother and mother-in-law both had wonderful experiences sitting with each of their mothers as they prepared to pass-on. They each had experiences with their mom's talking with other loved ones who were already on the other side, their happiness, the joy, the love and the peacefulness.
The experience was so uplifing for all of them, it brought much joy to balance the pain.

To all of you...Thank You for all your prayers. Sarah passed away fairly peacefully Saturday morning, 11/30 at about 8am local time. We are all trying to adjust. I FELT YOUR PRAYERS. Your prayers gave my family strength through this difficult time. My gratitude I can never express.
God's Grace to you all and your families. I'll write to each of you when I return home.
In Christ to all my Brothers and Sisters,
Griffin

I'm so sorry about your sister. You know, I was listening to a tape of Don Scott in which he described mycoplasma infections as causing individual cells i the body to degenerate and FORM SCAR TISSUE. If you are interested, here is the address to reach him:

May God bless you and your family and welcome your sister. You and yours will be in my prayers.

I will look to God for comfort as I'm sure You will. I have prayed for her since the beginning , but my requests haven't taken shape.
Although it hurts and she will be missed , I believe she will be smiling back at her family and the love they have shown.
She can't want you to have pain , but it's our selfish nature to want what we can't have.
I Pray that Gods' Love for you and the strength you find in Christ , help you through this. For being with Him , is our reward not our loss.
Peace be with You and your Family griffin.
I've lost a piece of my heart with your loss.

Sarah passed away fairly peacefully Saturday morning, I FELT YOUR PRAYERS. I just checked back on this thread to see if you had written. Perhaps God gave Sara some 'comfort' at the end, which we were praying for.
I, also, felt the prayers when my mother was dying, and I know the pain you feel. My heart goes out to you.

Condolences on your loss.
Coincidentally, your sister passed on my birthday.
I don't know where people find the strength to make the final decision to turn off the ventilator, or in my mom's case, to stop the feeding tube.
Peace be with you.
