Thirty or so Patriots and FReepers outnumbered peaceniks for the first time tonight on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno, California! I counted eight peaceniks across the street from us. There were enough of us tonight (thanks in part to the Republican Central Committee who sent out faxes and emails these last few weeks) to spread out onto a second corner.
At one point during the evening, one of the peaceniks drove over to our side of the street to pass out handouts and generally tried to get us to agree with him that America is the worst terrorist country there is. (Not going to happen! We LOVE our country!) One of the patriots he was talking to said that even if the USA has some faults, it's definitely the best country around and he said he disagreed, that France or Sweden would be a better place to live. (Love it or leave it, Buddy.) When he didn't make any headway, he got in his car (which sported an upside-down flag) and drove off.
Tonight we listened to patriotic tunes, we bought out dormant patriotic fervor in many drivers by, we visited with each other, and had a great time! About a half an hour after the last of the peaceniks punched their time cards and went home at 6:30 on the dot, we packed up our signs, flags, bullhorns, etc. and vowed to do it again next Friday night.
FReepers attending tonight were:
To all those who could attend tonight, thanks for being there. To those who couldn't make it, we hope to see you next week.
Jim and Sheila Robinson:
Oh, I forgot to mention that George Bush joined us out on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw tonight. LOL!

This is the peacenik who came and visited our corner tonight in the blue and white checked shirt.

And FriendAnn again with President Bush:
I didn't get pictures of everyone who attended tonight's FReep (because I was busy trying to keep President Bush from blowing over in the stiff winds we had tonight). If anybody else took pictures, please share them. :o)
What else?
A Volvo.
LOL!
FREEDOM IS WORTH IT!
Amen.
Y'all do us proud.
Keep on FReepin' on!
Lookin' good, mtngrl! Thanks for the report and pictures! : )
Way to go, FResno FReepers and FRiends! FReep on! : )
FReepers are the best ! I love the Fresno FReepers!
I love it. Bet he's upset with the price of gas as well. Thanks for keeping the faith and well done.
Hey, it always looks so blue in the sky there in your pics, does it ever rain???
Looks like you'all had some fun!
Why did the others decide to join you this time? Did they not know about it before, or were they too collectively busy, or what?! (Just wondering what pulled 'em in, so I could try to duplicate that "pull" and get you tons more supporters!) (It's my "yob!") *G*
Someday, some way, I will be there! Right now, I'm lost in the Delta Quadrant and swooning over Commander Chakotay (he has many admirable qualities), but I'll be there!!
"FReeping is NOT Irrelevant!"
Beep of FReep
That guy with the upside-down flag...what a maroon. I hope he does move to Sweden or France. He'll probably come crying back home inside of a year.
Good job to you all...wish I could join you!!
