Dear subscriber,
Here is today's ACTION ITEM:
ISSUE: Enjoy this year's Mother's Day. According to the Family
Research Council (frc.org), if the United Nations Convention
on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against
Women (CEDAW) has its way, the annual celebration will be our
last.
Not only does the committee overseeing implementation of CEDAW
argue to legalize prostitution, it also discourages motherhood
in an attempt to level every kind of distinction between men
and women at every level of society. Yet the Daschle Democrats
in the U.S. Senate have suggested they may ratify the radical
feminist group's proposition before the United Nations --
something even Bill Clinton's administration refused to do.
Five years ago, the CEDAW Committee rebuked Slovenia because
"less than 30 percent of children under three years of age ...
were in formal day care." Then, in 1999, the CEDAW Committee
criticized Ireland for its constitution promoting "a
stereotypical view of the role of women in the home and as
mothers." The list goes on and on.
Believe it or not, CEDAW even found fault with the country of
Belarus for "the continuing reintroduction of such symbols as
a Mother's Day." And now Senate Democrats want to ratify CEDAW.
Despite their professed goal to end gender discrimination, the
group is obviously anti-family and anti-mother. Their agenda
is an offense to family values and deserves nothing more than
the Bush administration's disdain -- particularly in the
upcoming Senate hearing.
ACTION ITEM: Click Below to urge your Senators to publicly
reject CEDAW's proposition and continue to hold the line in
defending the principled beliefs and traditions of America's
families:

When the momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
The Manifesto is a product of many minds. It was designed to represent a developing point of view, not a new creed. The individuals whose signatures appear would, had they been writing individual statements, have stated the propositions in differing terms. The importance of the document is that more than thirty men have come to general agreement on matters of final concern and that these men are undoubtedly representative of a large number who are forging a new philosophy out of the materials of the modern world. -- Raymond B. Bragg (1933)
WHAT??? I was laughing til I got to this one.
Their vision of the future is creeping quickly into your "village"...
It's been here for a while now. And it's getting more blatant by the day.
The child asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
You will simply call her "Mom."
