Pictures were taken when Joe was assigned to the Infantry Training School and 5th MAB on Camp Pendleton, Ca. 1981.

Joe was a USN Corpsman who volunteered for duty with the FMF. He went to Great Lakes for both basic and Hospital Corps school.

How fun! Mine brought chili relleno burritos home to me at my request! I love those things! I figure some good hot chili might help this awful cold I have. Next I will try some more chicken soup. All else fails, I will go watch the doggy tinkles off the rosemary bushes, get a little spearmint and soak for an hour or so! I think you are supposed to make tea out of it and drink it, but the idea of the doggy tinkle just spoiled that thought! LOL!

I don't know if you can find it outside of the deep South, AFVG, but if you can find it the old Octagon soap is the best thing in the world for poison ivy. Just wet the soap and rub it on the rash and don't rinse it off. It will dry it up almost overnight. There's another brand I think it's called Fells Naphta or something close to that which works almost as well.

Actually, like Bunny, I am a little embarrassed about this. There are far too many really nice, interesting profile pages on FR to narrow it down to just a few. And I thought when the original "contest page" thread was pulled that the contest just kind of fizzled. In fact, I never took it seriously at all ... I still don't. After all, I tied with someone who doesn't even have a page. How silly is that?! LOL! I just enjoy playing around with my profile, I don't expect that many people even see it.

However whoever, I am proud to be tied with you for third place (even if you don't have a profile page). LOL!!!

I've heard of Octagon soap. I will go look for it in the morning and try that. Anything that will clear this up quickly will be so appreciated!

I took an 'oatmeal' bath and it helped some, then I slathered Caladryl all over and it feels better. I think it's manageable till the morning. Just gotta keep from scratching! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
