Please meet Joe Brower
I had fun hanging out of a Huey at 2,000 feet!
Pictures were taken when Joe was assigned to the Infantry Training School and 5th MAB on Camp Pendleton, Ca. 1981.
Joe was a USN Corpsman who volunteered for duty with the FMF. He went to Great Lakes for both basic and Hospital Corps school.

I am so glad. It would be fun to meet everyone, I know FallGuy wants to meet all the guys and the girls too so much.
To: Snow Bunny
I was kidding about it just being us gals. Of course the guys can join in. They are fun too. I was just waiting to see who would be the first one to 'complain' about being left out... hehehehe

Serious Question --
What can I put on this poison ivy to make it go away??? It is itching like crazy and is spreading! I've been using Caladryl and a hydrocortisone cream, but I want it to go away. NOW! (scratch, scratch, scratch)

This is one of my favorites, "Will There Be a Tomorrow?", performed by Dick Jonas, Bill Durham and Chuck Rosenberg. This song by Dick Jonas was extremely popular with pilots during the war. Its haunting sadness is reminiscent of many of the songs of World War 1.
Dick Jonas, the best-known song writer of the air war, flew 125 missions with the 433rd Tactical Fighter Squadron ("Satan's Angel's"), 8th Tactical Fighter Wing ("Wolfpack"), Ubon Rachitani Royal Thai Air Force Base, 1967-68. He participated in Rolling Thunder (the code name for US air operations over North Vietnam at that time), took part in Steel Tiger missions, and flew in support of Khe Sahn.

I can't do tne McKinney freep. Hope you all have a good turn out though. Is Linniebeth going to be there? I met her a year and a half ago at Lenox Square during an election protest. She's a great person I'm glad you got to meet her.
To: MistyCA
I really like the cover of the music too.
To: AFVetGal
I don't know what else you could put on it. But, is there a place you can call like an ask a nurse? Sometimes there are those kind of places you can call and ask them questions.
Also, you might call your pharmacy. They might know of a product that would help.
To: blackie
Thank you, blackie! I'm thinking on something that will give me a chance to use that link as well as some other stuff, and will include the Canteen link, too. I'll ping you. Hopefully next week. It takes me a while when I start to "think" about something before I can get it all together.

The doctor can prescribe an oral medicine, like Benadryl, which should help.

Oh fooey! That's too bad. LinnieBeth isn't planning to be there, but we are hoping for a good crowd. I really enjoyed meeting her and was eager to meet you too! Next time you go to Atlanta let me know and maybe we can get together for a Coke.

Benadryl is over the counter now, I think. And I may have some. BBL.

Good point about the help line..are you on TriCare, Jen?
Here at Ft. Huachuca they have a Call-a-Nurse line, as well as an after-hours clinic.
As for what to put on it, we've always used the Calamine (Caladryl) lotion. If you were a 3 or 4 year old, I'd put cotton gloves on your hands...
Come to think of it, the drugstore pharmacist can also help with advice.
How 'bout you Corpsmen out there? Any advice for AFVetGal?
