FReep Cynthia McKinney's "Veterans Town Hall Meeting" in Decatur, GA, Saturday, 5/18/2002 1PM

Posted on 05/09/2002 6:38:57 PM PDT by FreedomPoster

As discussed on a recent thread, Cynthia McKinney, D-Georgia 4th Contressional District (Actually C-Cuba), has announced that she will hold a Veterans' Town Hall Meeting. The text of that newspaper item, from the DeKalb Neighbor Newspaper, reads as follows:

Veterans Town Hall Meeting: 4th Congressional District Rep. Cynthia McKinney, D-Decatur, is sponsoring a Town Hall meeting with local veterans May 18 at 1 p.m. at the Decatur Library Auditorium, 215 Sycamore St., Decatur. Ms. McKinney's district includes all of DeKalb County.
Information: (404) 377-6900

We expect that Ms. McKinney is suddenly interested in veterans due to 9/11, and planned on having a quiet event in which she could display her concern for veterans now that her anti-military past is such a political liability. This could then be trumpeted in the press and campaign literature. We aim to show up and set the record straight on Ms. McKinney's support for the military. A few facts:

o The long-time legislative coordinator of the Georgia VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars) tells me that in all of his years of going to Washington, Cynthia McKinney has NEVER had time to meet with them. Zell, Linder, Barr, and many others always make time for him. Even John Lewis meets with them about every 3rd time they go, or at least has an aide meet with them.

o This week, I spoke with several VFW leaders in the 4th District. Only ONE had heard about this event. It seems that Ms. McKinney has put little-to-no effort into informing veterans of the "town hall meeting" she is holding, ostensibly for their benefit.

o Cynthia's voting record on military issues has been one of the worst in Congress. For instance, in 2000, she voted against a the Vieques PR Referendum bill, which was for military training at the Navy range at Vieques, PR. This is bombing training for our carrier pilots that she opposed. She has a lifetime rating of 7 out of 100 by the Ameican Conservative Union (!!).

o Interestingly, her campaign coffers overfloweth with money from Islamic-named individuals from outside of her/my district. I have been through this list of contributors to CYNTHIA MCKINNEY FOR CONGRESS, and almost none of the in-state contributors are from her district, and most are from out-of-state in the first place. Note that all of these contributions are post-9/11.

o Ms. McKinney had plenty of time to whine about black voters in Florida supposedly being denied their franchise, presumably due to evil Repuplicans. Interestingly, none of the lawsuits promised by Ms. McKinney and her "Civil Rights" buddies ever went anywhere, because they couldn't find anyone to swear out an affadavit that they had been prevented from voting. Meanwhile, we never heard anything about the questionable handling of thousands of military absentee ballots. There are many military members home-based in Florida, with large Naval installations in Jacksonville and Pensacola, The Air Force at Eglin, and Central Command in Tampa. Again, no friend of the military.

In short, we have here an extreme left wing, anti-military Congresswoman who is apparently getting substantial support from what are likely anti-American sources. We must set the record straight for the public.

All applications have been submitted and all fees paid. I should get the final approval by Tuesday, but I was told there should be no problem with a permit.

Got the slogans...

My graphics company buddy is leaving town for vacation and will be gone for a week, so I can't get any pics expanded into digital prints. But the stencils and whiteboard are still a go.

And, I will bring my digital camera to record our Freep.

I am working tomorrow, so I will cut the stencils out then. If we come up with anymore sign ideas, let me know.

Go for it, you guys! It sounds like you're organizing a fine FReep against a most deserving target. The voters need to know who she really is beholden to, so an investigation into the arab campaign contributions may well give you ammo for some hard-hitting signs... who is she really in DC representing anyway?... does she have terrorist blood on her hands from taking their money?... her anti military or anti veteran votes, pre 9/11, would also make some very good signs, keeping the messages short but brutally honest.

You all have some very good sign ideas already. Now the hard work comes to you, rallying troops to your FReep. You may want to stop in at local VFW and American Legion halls, and other places where vets congregate, and post flyers on their bulleting boards if it's okay with management.

I'll be anxiously awaiting an after action report.

Sorry this Georgia lady can't attend the FREEP--but, with pleasure, I give this venture a BIG BUMP to the top!

Cynthia McKinney needs to be out of office--and FAST! Sure wish I was in her district. I'd take GREAT pleasure in casting an actual vote on a ballot against her.

Because I am putting together a thingy I call "The Bin Laden Medical Matrix" I love to find MD's that are Muslims.

Quite a few of the contributions to McKinney come from this class.

Dr.Sohail Masood owns a company called"Cresent Healthcare" in California.

He gave some $$$$ to Cynthia.

The business is a "home infusion" company. That means all the meds and fluids that are given at home by infusion.

Actually Masood is a pharmacist not an "MD" Dr.

Any way does he fall into my Bin Laden Medical Matrix?

I dont know yet,as I havnt googled deep enough, but I did find this little goody:

"That is why Masood now feels a pinch in returning what he owes and this is where his social profile enters.Recently, he contibuted close to $100,00 for a documentary on Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). These days he is engaged in an association led by Arnold Schwarzenegger and is also planning to form Orange Club with the help of the Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The objective of the club is not to hire lobbyists but to help the Muslim community cause.THERE ARE A LOT OF LIMITATIONS ON EXTENDING HELP TO THE ELECTION CAMPAIGNS OF MUSLIM-FAVORING CONGRESSSMEN BUT BY FORMING A CLUB IT WOULD BE EASY TO ESTABLISH A VENUE BOTH FOR FUNDRAISING AND DISCUSSION." see www.pakistanlink.com

My interest in Masood relates to his possible link to my "Bin Laden Medical Matrix", which I assert is a conspriracy to kill us all by some medical means, perhaps a new designer bio-weapon.

This list of Arab funders of McKinney helps me greatly..

"The issue emerged when federal agents served warrants on March 20 and 21 at the Herndon-based Saar Foundation, Safa Trust and International Institute of Islamic Thought and 13 other locations. The groups are part of a complex Saudi-based financial empire that U.S. investigators say has handled $1.7 billion since the mid-1990s, sending some of it to groups that authorities have linked to terrorists."

"M. Yaqub Mirza, president of the Saar Foundation and vice president of the Safa Trust; Taha J. Alalwani, a founder of the International Institute of Islamic Thought; Jamal M. Barzinji, a president of the trust and institute secretary; and Hisham Altalib, treasurer for the trust and institute vice president, gave a total of $1,800 to Moran on Jan. 5, 2001."

"It's Norquist's alliance with Alamoudi, however, that's raising eyebrows now. In recent days, some in the press, most notably Salon's Jake Tapper (on September 26), have raised questions about certain Muslim American advocacy organizations (including the American Muslim Council), charging that they have been " tacitly ... supportive of extremist groups guilty of terrorism. " Take Alamoudi, who attended an anti-Israel protest outside the White House on October 28, 2000. Alamoudi revved up the crowd, saying: " I have been labeled by the media in New York as being a supporter of Hamas. Anybody supporters of Hamas here? " The crowd cheered. " Hear that, Bill Clinton? We are all supporters of Hamas ... I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hezbollah. " (Both groups are on the State Department's official list ofterrorist organizations.)"

What the federal raids in Northern Virginia uncovered.
by Stephen Schwartz
04/08/2002, Volume 007, Issue 29

"A major personality on the ground in Virginia is an individual named Jamal Barzinji, whose office in Herndon was a major target of the raids. In 1980, he was listed in local public records as a representative of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), an arm of the Saudi regime with offices in Virginia. WAMY has been deeply involved in providing cover for Wahhabi terrorism. The 2002 entry in the U.S. Business Directory lists the president of the WAMY office in Annandale, Va., as Abdula bin Laden--the terrorist's younger brother."

He served on the Board of Mylex Corporation, a NASDAQ listed, world leader of RAID technology and network management products from December 1988 until September 1999 when Mylex was acquired by IBM for $240 million. ["The keystone of the Saudi-sponsored Northern Virginia network is the Saar Foundation, created by Suleiman Abdul Al-Aziz al-Rajhi, a scion of one of the richest Saudi families. The Saar Foundation is connected to Al-Taqwa, a shell company formerly based in Switzerland, where its leading figures included a notorious neo-Nazi and Islamist, Ahmed Huber. Subsequently moved to the United States, Al-Taqwa was shut down after September 11 and its assets frozen by U.S. presidential order. But operations continued, as the Wahhabi lobby shifted to its backup institutions here. .... Men like al-Rajhi, Mahfouz, and al-Qadi are the big players in the financing of Islamic extremism. And their paths repeatedly lead back to Northern Virginia. They don't play for small stakes: Saar received $1.7 billion in donations in 1998, although this was left out of the foundation's tax filings until 2000. No explanation has been offered for this bit of accounting sorcery." Weekly Standard, Wahhabis in the Old Dominion, 04/08/2002, Volume 007, Issue 29]

The IIIT's Web site describes the institute as a ``nonprofit, academic and cultural institution concerned with general issues of Islamic thought.'' Although based in Herndon, it lists 12 international offices in such places as Egypt, Sudan, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, France and England.

Totonji also is among the founders of the SAAR Foundation, another Middle East organization based in Herndon. It, too, was believed to have been a target of the searches
