No my friend, he was a fascist and there is no reason to re-write history. If your point is to align modern day maggots with his ilk, no problemo, there are indeed some fascists alive and well in the good ol' USA.

A socialist, among other things wants to re-distribute the income of the creators of society, whereas a fasicist (among other things) is happy to leave industry alone, but to rule without democracy or rights, and they want to squash anyone who gets in their way.
