Welcome back from the dark side, Susan. I was an antigunner in high school myself.

That's about as powerful a testimonial as I have ever read.

Hope it gets widely distributed.

A RKBA bumpity-bump. Had a nice range session yesterday, ladies in the lanes on either side. Ah, the smell of gunpowder and perfume in the morning...

Nice read. This is the crux of the issue and of the author's epiphany:

"I started to seriously think and probe into the nature of my fear, and over time I began to see how that fear had affected my philosophical and political activities."

Irrational fear of inanimate objects, of simple machines, is at the heart of the PR battle over guns. Without it, the enemies of freedom are helpless.

I've never met or even heard of anyone who starts out pro-gun and ends up anti-gun....

There is a quote somewhere that mentions that there is no greater fanatic than the newly converter. In this case, it's a welcome change.

I think the root of her conversion was realizing that she was being lied to. She wasn't safer without a gun and the her attackers weren't disarmed because she was.

I noticed that a large number of people become anti-self defense because they lost a member of their family to "gun violence". We already know what the actual victims would say if they could do it over again and it wouldn't bear any resemblance to what the anti's believe.

Pretty good post from a commando racist gun nut. At least she's not going to be a victim an longer.

Rough trip, from the Dark Side to Pro-Rights. A lot of us are happy she made it.

:) Good article, although I'm not so sure she should be "instructing" so early in the game. She barely started shooting, and some things come with time and a lot of practice. Nevertheless, good for her!
