Msnbc is reporting That The palestinian court may release The 2 prisoners today which were part of deal of arafats release..
Plus an ongoing case of diarhhea.
Followed by dementia in which he sings in a high falsetto highly defamatory songs about the Saudi royals, Mubarek, Assad, and Hussein.
YUP!
A. Releasing these two could an instant death sentence for them, unless the Israelis want to make a show trial out of them.
B. This would be the end of American interaction with Arafat. I dont see the President dealing with him after something like that.
C. These two are linked to groups that are grumbling that Arafat sold them out...so if e does release them it will be because he is scared that he is gonna get assasinated.
D. Arafat would probably be booted out of Israel or placed under house arrest again.
I do see the President dealing with him.. Over and over and over again!!!!
Senior U.S. sources say Washington to offer PA vast sums to rebuild institutions, on condition of reforms.
New York Times: White House making last-minute efforts to persuade Israel to accept Arafat in negotiations.

Despite heavy losses, politburo chairman says more suicide attacks are to come
Q. Hamas is being criticized for stopping suicide operations. Critics say that you gave the Israelis an excuse to invade, and then decided to sit back.
A. It is only natural that a period of calm should follow Israels invasion and crimes. The resistance has sustained heavy losses; its leaderships, cadres and equipment have been hit hard. Sharons invasion of Palestinian lands has been unprecedented in scope. It involved 40,000 troops, thousands of tanks and scores of warplanes and helicopter gunships. The resistance is now in a self-defense mode; it is licking its wounds and preparing to seize the initiative once again.
The Palestinian resistance has a great capacity for steadfastness, and is able to regroup and resume its activities. What took place at the Jenin refugee camp was a victory for us. Jenin was different from Sabra and Shatila. In Jenin, the massacres happened against the backdrop of a Palestinian victory that lifted the morale of our people.
To my knowledge, the exact role of the US and UK "observers" was never clarified. I fully expected them to stand by and watch their "charge" just walk away, as has been the custom in palistinian jails.
These prisoners may have been important to Israel, but I think the US negotiators considered them to be a minor point but a major obstacle. The main objective was to spring arafart -- a request that was personally delivered to President Bush by the Saudi Prince. The price for this deal was the US sandbagging the UN-sponsored "investigation" at Jenin. Powell could care less about these prisoers, who WILL walk IMHO.
Yep.
Thanks for the clarification. I don't think it was worth it, unless there is more to it that we don't know. (probably)
"for us or against us...." does NOT apply to terrorists like arafat (some terrorists are in fact partners for peace, just ask powell) or nations that give them shelter, such as 15/19 Saudi Arabia, or Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, or in fact most arab league nations. 15/19 being the magic number of saudi nationals who murdered three thousand PLUS unarmed americans on 9-11.
"for us or against us..." has become just another line of rhetoric, from "son of read my lips". It does not apply to the nation who funded our killers on 9-11, or the arafat terror organization... (get out now sharon)...
for us or against us, is being directed at Israel, for not obeying the prez, and defending her citizens against Powells' partners for peace in the region, it is being used against americans who do not support the invasive and anti bill of rights violations of the un "patriot act"...
Heading towards NINE months later, and the SAUDIS (whose financial backing, and their nationals actually) killed our people on 911 are here in crawford, dictating to Mr. "for us or against us" WHAT we must force Israel to do, in order for the house of 911 (Saud) to give us their "support" (non support) for our invasion of IRAQ... the nation behind??? the attacks of 911?
It is time to give the green light again to Go-Go sharon. Secretary Powell needs to just shut up. And forget about Iraq Mr. Bush. Its time instead to militarily attack our REAL enemies from 911, your big oil buddies and especially your former college buddy from yale, Mr. prince whatever of the house of saud... YOu can take care of Iraq and the rest of them after WE take over ALL the muslim holy sites... and seize OUR oil.
Instead we put our people, and britain's in harms way, for the sake of (he's really not a terrorist, just a partner for peace) arafat.
Way to go STATE department. Powell, go home.
