Mark Your Calendars: Another Million Mom March is coming!

The Brady Campaign united with the Million Mom March is proud to announce the coming of the second major Million Mom March on Mothers' Day, May 9th, 2004 in Washington D.C.

This highly publicized effort is much needed to push sensible gun laws through the halls of Congress. Too many Americans continue to die or are injured because of the easy access to guns in this country.

Our goal is to make it clear to Congress that, while they don?t seem to care that 9 young people are dying each day from gunfire, we do! Sensible gun laws save lives! We want them to act!

Excited? We hope you are because we need your help! You are the powerful voices for change in your communities. And, to continue to be so, you must convince our elected officials that we are a powerful grassroots force.

That?s why we need you to get involved in your local chapter today! Become a part of an exciting grassroots movement that is making us more powerful than ever!

To find out more about how you can join your local Million Mom March chapter, go to http://www.millionmommarch.org/brochure/

Another way you can help is by joining our campaign to sign First Lady Laura Bush up as a member of the Million Mom March. As First Lady, Laura Bush is in a unique position to make her voice heard on issues close to her heart. We want the safety of America?s children to tug at her heartstrings. That?s why the Million Mom March is inviting her to become a member of the Million Mom March and work for sensible gun laws that will keep our children safe!

To urge Mrs. Bush to join in the fight, visit http://www.millionmommarch.org/whitehouse and send her an electronic invitation.

We?ll see you and Mrs. Bush at the Million Mom March in 2004!

Get the Facts!

It?s important to know the facts about the gun issue. For more information about assault weapons, licensing and registration, background checks, and much more, go to http://www.bradycampaign.org/facts/index.asp and learn about important issues affecting the gun violence prevention movement.

PASS IT ALONG! Please pass this message along to friends, family members, and colleagues so that they too can take a stand for sensible gun laws.

"Thumbs up to all of you for your generous support! Together, we will build a safer America." - Jim "The BEAR" Brady

one cannot sue the government as successfully as suing the school board and state legislatures for the wrongful death of a student because constitutional right to carry laws for teachers and administrators were suppressed.
