Joined by gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, President Bush continued his trip on the left coast today as he spoke to a crowd in San Jose, CA regarding compassionate conservatism. Last night, Bush attended a fund raiser for Simon and raised $2.75 million dollars. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I saw a snippet of some of the print reporting on another thread. It was disgusting. The focus was on the rich Republicans gathering to raise money for Simon. Talked about people showing up in their ferraris and mercedes, etc. It was a total diatribe.

Pisses me off to no end. They never mentioned Davis's warchest of $30 million. And criminy, the super rich in CA are the libs in Hollywood and Silicon Valley anyway. This nonsense of the GOP being the party of the rich is hogwash.

I gotta say, though, I knew where he was heading, with the 'Citizens, not Spectators,' and I thought of that wonderful Inaugural Address, and then I thought of you!

btw, I'm pretty close to giving up on Rush altogether. He's never going to admit he's wrong no matter what the evidence is. He's apparently too stubborn. I have been such a loyal listener for so many years that I can't believe I'm at this point with him.

Well, for one thing you are here on this thread, instead of watching a sit com. That is the first step.

Then, you pay attention and write or call your senators and congressman when important legislation is coming up for a vote.

You can do other things. Volunteer for your local political party. Volunteer for your church or school. Give money to organizations you believe in. Speak out. Harass your radio and tv stations if they give poor coverage. Boycott loser liberal Hollywood people!

I am quite annoying, am I not? I drive my husband crazy, I think. But I am passionate about getting people involved!

I heard the President's speech from San Jose today....it rocked! I was cheering along with the crowds.
