President Bush headed to the left coast today with stops in New Mexico and California. Bush addressed a crowd at the University of New Mexico saying that he will work to pass federal mental health parity legislation to eliminate disparites in the coverage of mental health benefits. The President then headed to Los Angeles where he made several stops before attending a fund raiser this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yeah, I've got yenta in my blood ever since a friend lined me up with my husband. I was her second choice. Luckily her other friend had to go out of town.

See Post #555 to answer your question.

Glasses, huh? Oh barf.
I started wearing my coke bottle lenses when I was almost 8. White cat glasses. It wasn't cool but I appreciated being able to see where I was walking. Heard all the nasty comments one could imagine...4 eyes...you get the idea. Got contacts when I was 18. When I was nearing 40 my optometrist brought up the reading glasses idea to go OVER my contacts. Oy! Finally decided to forgo living in denial and bought me a pair of reading glasses. They're wonderful. I sure give my family a good laugh when I'm wearing my eye glasses with my reading glasses over *those*. I look like a fly! Guess what I'm getting in May? Yep. Bifocals. It's heck getting old.

***Wanna TP his house with me?!**
Sure. I suppose he's one of those twelve-year-old doctors they have all over the place now. What ever happened to the mature doctors we used to have. Next time you don't like something he says tell him you want a doctor who's not still on training wheels.

**we've taught our little guy to do the same thing. If he enters before me, out he goes....it's so cute the responses we get out in public. **
Of course he's gonna open up the door for an old bat with a walker. sheesh. that's a no brainer! what else would he do? go first and let the door slam your fingers on the walker bar?
To: homeschool mama
I tried on some bifocals at the optometrist, but they made me dizzy. But I have an inner ear disorder and I get dizzy easily. Good luck!
To: Brad's Gramma
moron.....but you KNOW the name I'd rather be calling you!

What ever happened to the mature doctors we used to have. I remember reading an actuarial article that gave the average age of death of doctors in certain specialties. In the 1980's the average age of death for a general practitioner was 55.

To: terilyn
Glad you thought it funny, terilyn! I have a blondie girl myself.

ROFLOL! You are one funny lady!
Actually, my Doc is 50 and a good friend. We've called him at home a number of times for quick advice and stitches for Miss Hormone (daughter). Great guy. Has a yard perfect for about 20 rolls of TP though. :o)

Thanks. Have a great sleep. Try not to think of the Mama as you're drifting off. I did that once and had HORRIBLE indigestion all night. AND nightmares. Brrrr...BAD night it twas.
