President Bush spoke to the press late this afternoon from the Western Whitehouse, confirming reports that both Israel and Arafat have agreed on a way to end the stand off at Arafat's headequarters. Arafat has agreed to hand over six wanted terrorists to US and British officials while the Israelis have agreed to let Arafat free and to pull out of Ramallah. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

**The pic is really cool- it shows how unpretentious and down-to-earth the Bush family is. **

Agreed, mafree. The media...bless their hearts...attempt to swindle and show quite the opposite. Speaking of media...here's a nice quote:

**QUOTE: The journalists of the United States are generally in a very humble position, with a scanty education and a vulgar turn of mind. - Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835.

Yes, I get the same feeling. Then again, I have multiple personalities so I hear from many HSM's. LOL

**I'm too much of a lady to say.**

Yes, it *would* be a shame to soil our dainty, ladylike reputation, now wouldn't it?

This is kind of right. A journalism major is one of the "softer" majors in most schools (though some journalists didn't major in it) and we all know that they tend to be more tolerant of a lot of our society's perversion.

RE #360.....President Bush looks totally involved with speaking to the Lord. Cardinal Lay looks like he is tepidly going through the formality.

Re #360...

I know and W looks so unbelievably happy and at peace. The Cardinal looks almost bewildered.

Are you sure which President Bush that Mrs. Reagan supposedly disdains?

I don't think she would have liked Poppy's remarks about his Presidency going to be a kinder and gentler one.

Actually, before 9/11, it seemed to me that the purpose that God may have had in allowing George W. Bush to be elected was primarily for domestic issues, especially those dealing with morality....abortion, strong families, responsibility, in addition to those domestic issues of taxes and fiscal responsibility and accountability in education. Strong build-up of military capabilities was also a domestic issue until 9/11. After the terrorist attacks, I believe a lot of people realized that perhaps the main purpose in God's choosing this particular man to lead us was his strength, conviction, and unyielding resolve in this war against evil, and his total reliance on GOD for wisdom.

IMO, Dick Morris is engaging in wishful thinking. He is a dyed in the wool liberal who strongly supports the liberal domestic agenda. He is hoping that Americans don't agree with the President, but little by little the trust Americans have for this man is moving them in his direction. I believe there is a small advantage to Democrats in the polls, but I don't believe it will stay there, as more and more Americans find out the truth.

BTW, Glad I found you! LOL!

I will never trust Dick Morris .. he is the same man who worked behind the scene in advising Clinton .. even Clinton's Admistration didn't know Morris was working for him

OhioW, thanks for your perspective. I know Morris is a big Domestic-Issue Lib. He also likes to make pronouncements that surprise & shock people. It's just that he sounded so extreme--even for him! Imagine! A Prez whom the public trusts in only ONE aspect of the office? So they want the opposite party to control budget, health & welfare, energy, environment, judiciary--everything? Congress to control? I thought Americans distrusted them! Yet, Morris willingly sounded NUTS just to claim this & cited polls in support. I do think SOMETHING is haywire with that aspect of polls-- the "whom do you trust to handle x-y-z?" shouldn't be so at variance with W's polls. Also, if America would take a return to Clinton-Gore BUT FOR 9-11, then the character & real leadership issues that WE SEE have yet to penetrate the collective mind of Americans. May it NOT be true, oWf!
