Good online sources for Mideast History?
Posted on 04/25/2002 8:48:15 PM PDT by Interloper
Any suggestions for some online resources that give a history of the israeli / palestinian conflict?
Something as objective as possible.
Thanks.

Recently I found a very comprehensive history that covers several thousand years and was a fair analysis:

Also, anything and EVERYTHING by Bernard Lewis. He was on Lou Dobbs the other night praising George Bush. But last week I spent the better part of the evening reading every article on this page that follows. It was some of the best I've read on the region. I copied all of it to my hard drive. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did:

LOL
Interloper, I have yet to find a truly objective source. The only way to learn is to read, and "consider the source". You can usually tell a lot by how much is fact VS interpretation. And if you catch a lie, don't waste your time with that source anymore.
Do not waste your time reading what the US State Dept, UN or Britain call "official". Even I was shocked to find the documentation on those site sorely lacking in critical details. Details that make a difference.

START HEREIf you want to start at the beginning....do an internet search for the "Balfour Accord".

I get a "page not found" error. Are you sure that www.MuslimsAreDedicatedToSubjectingMiseryBloodAndDeathEverywhere.com is right?

Although you might doubt it's slant, the best stuff I've found is at National Review Online.
