Funny, I don't remember Palmer or Nicklaus saying those things. When I was in college, a college golfer who taught at Arnie's golf school lost his girlfriend to (married) Arnie. After she slept with him, she became one of Arnie's Army following him around whenever she could.
Ben Hogan threw a lit cigarette at a kid who made noise around the green.
Some of these guys are wonderful in almost every way, some are wonderful in most ways, but not all.
Tiger is a classy golfer--one of my favorites--but no one is perfect. Let's all cut him some slack..

When my son was younger and participated in the YMCA T-ball program, I remember getting so angry at the 'rules' the Y forced on the game. There could be no winners or losers and no score. The batter could stay up to bat until he/she hit the ball (which could be quite an embarrassing long time for some of those tikes). It was such a joke and so not real world. But, it does make sense that the liberals would try to make the game of baseball more pc.

Ah yes the old "no losers" rules. Very lame stuff, and most kids don't like it, if you'd asked around you'd probably have found that most of the kids were keeping score. Kids like competition, they like to win, and they understand that the price of winning is that somebody (maybe them sometimes) has to lose. By taking away the winning they take away a lot of the fun, and important life lessons.

Not really. Did you hear what he screamed on national TV as he teed off on the 2nd hole of the Masters?
Are you always this anal-retentive?

Yep, and my son would walk away and give me the score and say if they won or not. They did know. The part that was really, really sad was making this one kid continue to stand up there and swing and miss over and over. It was so humiliating to him.
Okay, back to cleaning......

Tiger is a total boor. Reason #1 why I no longer watch golf on TV. What leads you to that conclusion?
Oh, just a total lack of class and charisma who is fawned over by a press corps that absolutely must tell us what he says, does, eats, drives, etc. before they can say anything else about anyone else.
Refuse to buy anything that would put another cent into his pocket.
Don't read too much into it, as I felt/feel this same way about Tom Watson and Craig Stadler.

Are you always this anal-retentive?I didn't like my 10 yr. old or my three year old hearing that on Sunday afternoon TV. It's hard enough to keep their mouths clean as it is. If that's being anal retentive just go ahead and stick a cork in it.
