April 19th is also the anniversary of the explosion aboard the USS IOWA from 1989 that took the lives of many good sailors including a good friend of mine.

Rest in peace to the Iowa 47!!!

I'm not saying it wasn't an accident. We had one of those here in a small building. Planes do sometimes crash into buildings.

On the other hand, this is going to cause an economic disruption and render the building unusable for some time to come. That is one of the terrorist's goals, to take out the infrastructure of the west.

It just appears very suspicious regardless of what is being reported.

Reuters reporting the SOS was related to 'undercarriage' problems? Conflicts with engine and certainly would not compromise steering control enough to NOT have avoided the building.

Perhaps the SOS was intended to 'get the camera's rolling' to catch the 'show'???

Give it a break. We are all concerned about this. People handle it in different ways. Humor/sarcasm works for some.

"this plane must have been loaded with fuel"

My impression was the oppposite - the fire went out extremely fast.

Pipe down, por favor. Some people handle situations different than you.

You mean like shameless morons?? Yeah, we noticed. Hard to believe that this forum originates from a country that underwent a catastrophic attack resembling this "accident" about seven months ago.

"Well, it sounds like they are going to try to pass this off as an accident."

They tried the accident theory with the kid down here in Fla., too, didn't they?

It's a normal (though seemingly insensitive) way of dealing with tragedy. Not unusual for people to make jokes promptly after such an event.

Visibility must have been 10 to 20 miles. Hard to believe this could have been an accident.

CNN questioned the man again and then he said he was not in the actual building that got hit, but one across the street. Then when asked about the witnesses that saw "smoke trailing", he said he didn't know anything about that, he only heard a big explosion. Now MSNBC is reporting that a member of the Italian Parliament called into the local TV station reporting that he saw flames coming from the plane before the crash.

Valerie, I agree with you. There are an awful lot of "coincidences" here that we're being asked to accept. I'm really suspicious of this one.

Pilot took off in Lucarno, Switzerland. Authorized flight plan, reported engine problems earlier on. Says he was attempted to land on airport near downtown Milan. Speaker on Fox says "a terrible accident" but he was questioned hard about that.

Plus, think back a few months to when that crazy kid flew his plane into the bank building in Florida. There was practically NO DAMAGE AT ALL.

I remember that clearly. Glass panel type exterior. Few windows even broken. Looked like it was almost parked there. Tail and part of the fuselage hanging out. Penetrated maybe 10-15 feet.
