Well....I heard that it was from Switzerland and flying to Rome. But if he was flying from Slovenia to Rome, why was he near Milan??? From what I can see on my globe, he would be almost on a due west course to get to Milan, but if he was supposed to be headed to Rome, he would have been on a SW course...

There is no mechanical problem I can think of that could cause a plane to fly uncontrollably into the tallest building in Milan.

I can't think of any either. When you consider that there were no passengers, the "acciednt" happened on the 25th floor (if you allow 15 feet per floor), that's at 375 feet above the ground, and that the pilot flew the plane in straight and level. Fox news had a witness who was reporting that the plane had to drop altitude in order to hit the building. The SOS call was a distraction.
