On a recent visit to my brother's house in Charlotte, NC, I saw the following on my sister-in-law's car:
My question is exactly what does the "Well-behaved women rarely make history" statement suppose to mean? Any opinions on this out there?

Even better than, "Keep Honking, I'm Reloading"... I've always loved that one too.

"I Believe Anita" I haven't seen those lately. I hear that people were writing "JU" between the last two words for some reason....

Misfits bump...."I got something to say..." I guess if I finish the line with any of the verses, it would be in bad taste, right?
You and I are the only ones who will get it.
Hey, surely there are many Freepers who have Metallica's cover, right?
To: Phantom Lord
Oh no your not! Metallica Bump!
Ever blast that in your car and get strange looks? LOL!!

I hope so. The Metal Militia marches on.

Hmmm... Betsy Ross was fairly well behaved.
And so was Martha Washington.

Lady Thatcher was very well behaved.Trying to atone for your Brit bashing yesterday? LOL!!
But, I know that you esteem Lady Thatcher as shining jewel that stands out from the Socialist morass that Britain has become.
:)

I have never, for the life of me, understood why she's Lady Thatcher instead of Lady Margaret.

All the time, believe me I have had some of the funniest arguements of my life at traffic lights over that one. That and "Aenema" by Tool.... apparently the repetitious use of the eff word gets to some.

Actually, I think it is Baroness Thatcher now..
To: codebreaker
Then (and I may be wrong about this, being neither British nor royal) shouldn't she be the baroness OF something? Like a landholding?

Okay now, to be fair, midwives and water birth are not "liberal issues". I gave birth in water less than 2 weeks ago at home. Sounds weird, I know. But I know a lot of conservative Christian women who have homebirths with good outcomes. This was my 6th child, first homebirth. No meds.

We just howled, because she OBVIOUSLY didn't get it!! Ummm... I'm afraid that YOU'RE the one who didn't get it ... Dawlin.

I have never, for the life of me, understood why she's Lady Thatcher instead of Lady Margaret.A reasonable question for which I have absolutely no answer.

Some other good ones for the same situation are "Kill all the white men" by NOFX and that other cover Metallica did "So What" by maybe Killing Joke I think.

A true lady will be mentioned in the local paper three times max: birth, wedding and death.
Flame-retardant leathers on!

Take a look at the upper right corner of the bumper. Looks like a "Free Tibet" bumper sticker to me!
