A San Francisco crack cocaine dealer gave himself six months in jail after a judge told him he had to sentence himself.
Judge James Warren gave crack cocaine dealer Albert Brown his gown and told him he was his own judge.
Brown also ordered himself to change his ways for the sake of his children and to stay away from the area where he was arrested.
The judge said he was planning the same sentence.
He told Brown: "This is your life and you are your own judge." He faced a maximum five-year sentence.
Judge Warren said Brown "was very good at lecturing himself. Maybe this time it will stick."
He gave Brown a transcript of his self-imposed sentence "just in case he forgets".
And that old "don't take with alcohol" is a myth.
Party on dude!
And I'm still just supposed to ride this out like a cold? I can't even talk my teeth are locked.
Yep. :-) Not much we can do with viral infections, your cellular arm of your immune system should be kicking in big time by this morning and you should start feeling better soon. Get plenty of fluids and rest - in fact I don't recommend eating at all (doesn't sound like you can anyway). Get ORGANIC fruit juices (normal run of the mill juices don't have the all good shit in them at organic juice does - it costs more but it's well worth it). Go to target and pick up some Vitamin C - I like the chewable waffers. They taste like sweettarts. Pop those like they're going out of style, drink organic juice, and rest. If you REALLY cannot swallow at all, you're going to have to go to the hospital to get some fluids pumped into you - sorry. Maybe you can ask your Doc for some sort of pain reliever that you can swallow and will coat you throat. I had some when I got my tonsils taken out - tastest like ass but it's numbs the pain.
Most of the time with these viral infections there's not much we can do. Maybe give you some INF-gamma and supportive IV fluids, but after that it's up to your own body to clear the infection. It's really amazing how much mordern medicine's hands are tied in respect to viral infection.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
Really? :-) Your expertise in pharmacology is what?
Most of your anelgesics (advil, tylenol, aspirin, alive, etc) will help with swelling, and therefore with pain. However, it is the swelling and pain that means your body is fighting the infection.
I'm glad to hear you're felling better.
Eh, that's an old doctors tale just so they can take more money from us. us po folks go to our friends medicine cabinets b4 we go spend some money on something we may already have free access to. Plus my doc gave me a prescription for antibiotics and told me to fill it if it didn't stop after a week. I just upped the anti. Heck, if I were in Mexico, I wouldn't even need the doc. I would just start taking stuff till it got better.
Specific antibiotics for specific bacteria is NOT some sort of doc myth. If you think I'm wrong, then I suggest you spend some time culturing bacteria on different antibiotic media and you'll be surprised to see how many grow.
Docs didn't bust their ass in undergrad, and then spend the next 8+ of the best years of their life learning to diagnose and treat patients to then be told they are part of some sort of "scheme" to keep your from getting antibiotics cheap. That's just friggin silly. Medications cost money - if you want them for free you remove any incentive for any pharmaceutical company to research and develop any more. If you want mexican medicine and drugs, I won't stop you.
On a side note, if drugs were legal, you could go to any pharmacy and get what you wanted ;-)
Tell me how I can have the most intense pain every time I swallow then it just so happens that when I take advil and some antibiotics and take a nap, there is hardly any pain when I swallow? Too coincidental for me.
That's what I'm saying. It has felt EXACTLY like strep throat all along. The doc did the culture in front of me, but it seems to me that a little drop in a tube with litmus paper doesn't exactly have a 100% accuracy rate.
