Drug dealer gets six months after sentencing himself

A San Francisco crack cocaine dealer gave himself six months in jail after a judge told him he had to sentence himself.

Judge James Warren gave crack cocaine dealer Albert Brown his gown and told him he was his own judge.

Brown also ordered himself to change his ways for the sake of his children and to stay away from the area where he was arrested.

The judge said he was planning the same sentence.

He told Brown: "This is your life and you are your own judge." He faced a maximum five-year sentence.

Judge Warren said Brown "was very good at lecturing himself. Maybe this time it will stick."

He gave Brown a transcript of his self-imposed sentence "just in case he forgets".

FYI....if you could send someone to a health food store and buy grape seed extract....then put 10 drops in a small spray bottle and spray your throat at least five times a day, you would be over it in a couple of days!
Grape seed extract is an all natural antibiotic!

Thanks for the info, but I found out it is a Virus. So an antibiotic won't help. :-(

Hehe. I begged the doc for one. But he insisted penicillin won't help any. He just gave me a prescription for Loratab to ease the pain and said I have to just wait it out like a cold.

Whatever you were prescribed triple the dosage. The doctors don't know what the hell they're talking about.

And that old "don't take with alcohol" is a myth.

Party on dude!

I took twice the dosage and it just makes me sleepy. And I cringe at the thought of alcohol running past my golfball sized tonsils. Otherwise I would, just to see if it did anything.

This is so much fun. Currently, I cannot close my teeth because my throat has swollen past my teeth. I have to grasp onto something every time I swallow due to the worst pain I can ever remember feeling each time I do it. I can only sleep while on Loratab. It does nothing for the pain, but it will conk me out for four hours till it wears off. Then I have to take another one. My throat around my tonsils is swollen now, to the point where nothing bigger than a loratab can fit through.

And I'm still just supposed to ride this out like a cold? I can't even talk my teeth are locked.

LOL, I just gave the same offer to a student on Friday, after he complained about getting a detention. If he had named anything, I would have gone for it. He didn't think of anything, repeated his cry of, "it's just unfair!", and got his detention. At least the guy in the article handled the opportunity competently.

Yep. :-) Not much we can do with viral infections, your cellular arm of your immune system should be kicking in big time by this morning and you should start feeling better soon. Get plenty of fluids and rest - in fact I don't recommend eating at all (doesn't sound like you can anyway). Get ORGANIC fruit juices (normal run of the mill juices don't have the all good shit in them at organic juice does - it costs more but it's well worth it). Go to target and pick up some Vitamin C - I like the chewable waffers. They taste like sweettarts. Pop those like they're going out of style, drink organic juice, and rest. If you REALLY cannot swallow at all, you're going to have to go to the hospital to get some fluids pumped into you - sorry. Maybe you can ask your Doc for some sort of pain reliever that you can swallow and will coat you throat. I had some when I got my tonsils taken out - tastest like ass but it's numbs the pain.

Most of the time with these viral infections there's not much we can do. Maybe give you some INF-gamma and supportive IV fluids, but after that it's up to your own body to clear the infection. It's really amazing how much mordern medicine's hands are tied in respect to viral infection.

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Well, yesterday I got ahold of some advil and a friends antibiotics. After about a 4 hour nap the swelling was about as bad but hardly any more pain. Today I'm still taking both the advil and the antibiotic and the swelling has gone down a little but the pain is still gone. I'm guessing the adcil is doing it maybe. Wish I would have known that from the start.

Look, tex, you had a viral infection. It just takes this long for the immune system to start to catch up with the bug. The antibiotics didn't help a bit, and you shouldn't be taking antibiotics just to take them, especially if they are someone else's. Antibiotics anymore are specific for certain bugs. In fact, you're probably helping select for stronger bacteria as we speak. Please don't don that again.

Most of your anelgesics (advil, tylenol, aspirin, alive, etc) will help with swelling, and therefore with pain. However, it is the swelling and pain that means your body is fighting the infection.

I'm glad to hear you're felling better.

Eh, that's an old doctors tale just so they can take more money from us. us po folks go to our friends medicine cabinets b4 we go spend some money on something we may already have free access to. Plus my doc gave me a prescription for antibiotics and told me to fill it if it didn't stop after a week. I just upped the anti. Heck, if I were in Mexico, I wouldn't even need the doc. I would just start taking stuff till it got better.

Tex, it's like I said before - you had a viral infection - it is only natural that you began to feel better when you did. The antibiotics did nothing for you - sorry.

Specific antibiotics for specific bacteria is NOT some sort of doc myth. If you think I'm wrong, then I suggest you spend some time culturing bacteria on different antibiotic media and you'll be surprised to see how many grow.

Docs didn't bust their ass in undergrad, and then spend the next 8+ of the best years of their life learning to diagnose and treat patients to then be told they are part of some sort of "scheme" to keep your from getting antibiotics cheap. That's just friggin silly. Medications cost money - if you want them for free you remove any incentive for any pharmaceutical company to research and develop any more. If you want mexican medicine and drugs, I won't stop you.

On a side note, if drugs were legal, you could go to any pharmacy and get what you wanted ;-)

Tell me how I can have the most intense pain every time I swallow then it just so happens that when I take advil and some antibiotics and take a nap, there is hardly any pain when I swallow? Too coincidental for me.

The advil does help with both the inflamation and the pain. Antibiotics do NOTHING for a viral infection. You sure you had a viral infection in the first place?

That's what I'm saying. It has felt EXACTLY like strep throat all along. The doc did the culture in front of me, but it seems to me that a little drop in a tube with litmus paper doesn't exactly have a 100% accuracy rate.
