Newsmax should give credit where credit is due; Brit Hume reported this tonight, practically word for word.

Note to the service: Stick your shrinks. This is worse than a "travesty".

Those bastards should be made to live miserable lives for what little time they have left on this Earth. I'm with the "grunts" on the ground on this one.

What sort of panty-waisted morons are running things in the military these days????????? Must be the ones who rose up rapidly in Clinton's Military.

It fears they might "later explode with seemingly inexplicable rage - at their work or their families,"

Why not rotate these guys over to Iraq and let them take it out on Saddam?

The Pentagon is suddenly concerned about its mistreatment of the servicemen. It fears they might "later explode with seemingly inexplicable rage - at their work or their families," the Herald reported.

Not to suggest anything, but this could be taken care of in about 15 minutes. Just gotta get your stories straight beforehand...

The attempt at a solution: A special Navy psychiatric team is counseling and debriefing each of the estimated 1,000 Marines, soldiers and sailors at the compound.

I say, our wonderful servicemen and women need to be allowed some "ring time" with these guys. I personally would pay-per-view to see our guys give them a thrashing within an inch of their lives. (Jesus forgive me, I know that's wrong, but...)

P.S. I dare say, our servicewomen could whomp some of them upside the head REAL GOOD TOO!!!

Well one solution is to machine gun the detainees.

If so-called human rights groups are worried about prisoners in Cuba, why don't they pay a visit to Oscar Biscet or other prisoners in Castro's gulag.

...scream at, spit on and hurl water at the servicemen, who are "working nearly nonstop."...

Charlie Daniels was on "Hannity and Colmes" (Apr 2) He just got back from entertaining our troops at Gitmo. He was talking about how things went and said he wishes the media would tell the whole story about how the detainees throw buckets of urine and excrement on our soldiers. The media ignores it, only wanting to talk about how bad the prisoners treated.

American servicemen at Guantanamo Bay are so angry about the superior treatment given to the terrorist detainees that the military is sending in shrinks to try to prevent explosions of "inexplicable rage."

Gee, wouldn't it be horrible if they took out that "inexplicable rage" on their smug detainees? Frag em'.

''Many of them feel the detainees are being treated better than they are,'' said Cmdr. Karen Daly, a Navy psychiatrist and officer in charge of the Special Psychiatric Rapid Intervention Team, which has begun making rounds."

. . .so they need a 'wizard' to help them see a different reality? Ooooh. . .Kay. . .

But you don't understand. By treating these guests with respect, they may vote republican in the upcoming and 2004 elections. They are elegible to vote aren't they. After all they are in our country or almost anyway.

I read a thread earlier, that this new posture with the detainees is part of a strategy, to get information. More or less they are "Good cop/Bad cop" ing them. They are now affording privileges, to be taken away if the don't cooperate and tell them what they know.

...shrinks to try to prevent explosions of "inexplicable rage."

There's nothing "inexplicable" about it.

In related news: Amnesty International is whining that the prisoners are not being served breakfast in bed.

Compassionate Conservatism at work: entitlement for all.

The Founding Fathers warned against entitlements for certain cults and groups of people as it would not only be unfair and violating of common sense jurisprudence, it would invite a surge in the creation of various superstitious and political cults with various ludicrous claims.

Freedom of speech never meant government subsidised speech. This is another word for violation of power separation. Terrorism thrives in such environment. We are in big trouble.
