SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Actress Tawny Kitaen, wife of Cleveland Indians pitcher Chuck Finley, was charged Wednesday with spousal abuse and battery for allegedly attacking her husband.

Sorry folks, but it's hard not to see this as comic relief from the real news. Isn't locking her up in jail a first class waste of the taxpayer's money? I guess the police feel they have to show lack of discrimination by treating beating on an athlete husband like wife beating. Just plain stupid.

The more common spousal abuse I've seen, is when your sexy athletic fiancee with long flowing hair.. in just a few years following marriage (also known as the greatest mistake of your life), becomes fat, butch, and meaner than a pitbull.
