I just turned off CNN with absolute revulsion. Their anchor had cut to an "eyewitness" in Bethlahem, an American sounding person who said he was a "journalist" representing some news service I never heard of. He said he was there out of a sense of duty to tell the world how the Palestians are suffering. The anchor did not (totally) ignore her duty. She pointed out that there are two sides to everything...and that in fact as they spoke there was a gunfight with Palestinians firing guns and catching civilians in the cross fire. This phoney "journalist/eyewitness" said that he realized of course there was strong Palestinian "resistance" (a word that implies they are resisting oppression versus possibly resisting a police action to halt brain-washed youths from blowing up women and children in cafes) I was so absolutely disgusted on CNN allowing this blatant propagandist a platform with such light-weight counter questions that I switched to FOX...something I do more and more I find. There is NO WAY a FOX or most journalist from the networks would have let this guy pass himself off as a mere "journalist" or "eyewitness." Sounds like an American working with them , or someone who has been educated here. Anyone else see this example of how far our journalist standards have fallen???
You and I must be seeing different TV. On CNN, Fox News and PMSNBC, all I saw was the same repeated scenes of Israeli tanks and personnel carriers.
I agree with you. Actually, I watch Fox, MSNBC, and CNN, switching back and forth among them as necessary to catch the news I am interested in. And the simple truth is that CNN is still the only 24/7 news channel, since Fox only runs 90 second "updates" from 11pm to 6am. It's true that some of CNN's programming during that time is reruns, but they seem to have the personnel to interrupt the reruns for breaking news when there's something major going on.
I might also add that there are actually times I'm reduced to watching the ABC or CBS late night coverage, if the others are all in reruns...
Some of us have no shame :)
And you replied: Just last night he said repeatedly that he is not pro-Israel, just pro-America. LOL
This is the best you can do?
He's got a whole website full of stuff (www.danielpipes.org). Why don't you pick something from there for everyone as an example of this man's deceptive nature.
(By deceptive nature, I mean doing something like being interviewed by candlelight and flashlight, when your electricity was never cut off.)

Yeah, 'they're' all over the place! /sarc
Sure there is a Palistinian side to this story, but ask yourself: can you really believe them? Has Arafat EVER kept a promise made face-to-face with the Israelis?
The sides, as I see them, are thus:
Palistine side
Send suicide bombers, some teenaged, to kill innocent civilians, including women and children
Obfuscate, delay, and are intransigent on ANY offers from Israel, including the over-the-top Barak offer.
Arafat consistently sends messages of "victimization" in english to the Western world, but, in Arabic, calls for the slaughter and elimination of Israel altogether
Israeli side
When attacked, response by the military against specific strategic sites where known PA and terrorist activity are known to be conducted, coordinated, etc...
When their civilians are slaughtered by the suicide bombers, and they retaliate, they are the ones who receive the criticism - you hardly ever hear of criticism of the bombings except by the US and a small handful of other nations.
Israel is expected to give up land won in a war they did NOT start, but won
To me, it's simple - Israel is simply in a battle for sheer survival, not conquest.
Tired of hearing the 'two sides' argument. . .of course there are two sides; but that does not make them equal in value. . .equal in the merit of the goals, nor equal in the consequences of their goals.
I have heard plenty on the Pali side; starts to sound like Mugabe defending his 'farm policies'. . .and sure, Mugabe has a 'side' as well; indeed. . . but history has already spoken for all these people. . .
That is very funny. Is it an AP original or did you borrow it from someone?
Either way, may I use it in the future?
What an absolutely astonishing comment.
Which is it -- are you in a time warp, or are you a Farrakhan acolyte?
You are so right. I was amazed to find myself on one of these neo-nazi websites that list Jews in various positions. The ONLY reason I could see why anyone would list me is due to my last name.
These are people who simply despise Jews.
Joke's on them, though. My name and my colleague's name, also on the list, may "sound" Jewish -- but we're not. I would bet the same is true of this poster's "list of Jews." It's a child's game, born of colossal ignorance, in the same category of those who believed in the 1960s that JFK would take orders from the Pope.
Anyone who would create or post such a list is an absolute loser.
I expect he does not agree. If he wasn't targeting "Jewishness," he would not have posted his damn list. DUH.
Why are you runing interference for an obvious racist hmmm?
