I watched "The 10 Commandments" last night. While the Jews might mess up every now and then they are basis for our Judeo/Christian heritage which is one of peace, forgiveness and love. Unlike another religion which shall go unnamed! Mohammed you pretender.

Okay. I read your profile. Sounds like a bunch of crap. Isaac wasn't a Jew, huh? And the Kingdom of Israel became the Celts.

Whatever you say, hoss.

Was Jesus, by any chance, a Jew?

I absolutely agree with your post. Christians and Jews share the old testament. We are linked through the centuries. God promised to restore Israel, and he did. Israel is under God's protection; we must do everything to make sure Israel is not destroyed.

>Okay. I read your profile.

I don't think you did. Give it a full 3 minutes.

>Isaac wasn't a Jew, huh?

Now I KNOW you didn't read the Profile.

>Was Jesus, by any chance, a Jew?

Of course he was. He came via the Southern Kingdom. Didn't you read the Profile?

Isaac wasn't a Jew, huh? Now I KNOW you didn't read the Profile. That was from your reply to me, #84.

Here's what you said in #78:

Partial list of Genesis CHARACTERS WHO WERE NOT JEWISH God, Adam , Eve, Cain, Abel, Seth, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, Ham, Japheth, Lot, Abraham , Sara, Melchizedek, Eliezer, Hagar, Ishmael, Isaac ,

Did I miss something? Or, more likely, are you insane?

You missed something very elementary. Read the 3-MINUTE HISTORY by clicking on my Profile to come quickly up to speed. -Regards.

>Now I KNOW you didn't read the Profile.

It was your questioning that Isaac WAS NOT a Jew that suggested you had not read the History.

The whole issue of who is a Jew centers around the definition of "Jew". Some devoted Christians are among the LEAST well informed when it comes to such basics, despite their cock-surety that they are absolutely right about everything. It is that cock-surety and their slobbering about loving Jews, not their faith, which is an embarrasement to the rest of Christianity. They don't even seem to know that they and Jews are blood cousins, and recipients of most of the same promises.

The most common definition of "Jew" applies the word only to those who were part of the Southern Kingdom when it returned from Babylon ~500 BC. The next most common dating is when the Northern and Southern Kingdoms split, around 922 BC. By reviewing my 3-MINUTE HISTORY you can see that all who came before these dates were NOT Jews. Hebrews, yes. Israelites, yes. Jews, no.

I read your danged profile. Twice. Did you write it? And, what authority do you cite, other than some Assyrian tablet in britain? What is your point? Why do you care about my "slobbering love for the Jews"?

I am pro Israel because they are a conservative, westernized, democratic, people. There aren't many nations like that in the world. Most are socialists, or backward dictatorships. Israel is an ally worth supporting. As far as I am concerned, Israel can take lebanon and suez, and then expand eastward, annexing Damascus and Amman.

The Holy Bible.

>What is your point?

To educate Christians and Jews about their common heritage.

> Why do you care about my "slobbering love for the Jews"?

Because you open up Christian "goys" in general to ridicule by Jews (and Christians) who think you are acting like a fool, because you do not know your own history, or theirs.

It's "goyem" when you use the plural, professor. I'll stop answering your tinfoil-hat queries now, and thank you to butt out.

If Moses were alive today, he would say:

"Let my people go! Liberate isreal from the tyrany of terror."

I used quotes for your benefit, but when the discussion degenerates to such things it's clear that you have nothing to say. Have a nice day, and try reading the Bible in your spare time. It is amazing what you can learn there.

>It is because of a Jewish Carpenter (God's son)...

While as a child Jesus did work around Josephs carpenter shop, there is absolutely no evidence, either Biblical or otherwise, to suggest that after his 12th birthday he spend any time sawing wood and pounding nails. In fact, there are some historic reasons to assume he spent his valuable time doing other things, like maybe traveling.

The old canard about Jesus "never traveling more than a few hundred miles from home "is also without any basis in fact. Along with the sillyness about him being "poor", and a "pacifist".

Yeah, how about the theory that Jesus had long, hippie/womanish type hair. There is absolutely no proof of this , but there is a place in the Bible KJV that implys he looked just like all the other men of Judea and was able to "escape" crowds of people that had gathered to hear him by slipping right through the crowds. I think he had short hair, not long.

The main reason is that because to not be pro Israel is to be pro expulsion and diaspora at best, and pro genocide or pro nuclear war or both at worst. Secondary reasons are that to not be pro Israel at present is to be pro terrorist (as a weapon that pays dividends), and because of a certain cultural affinity.

And what did they look like?  Like in the movies?

>I think he had short hair, not long.

I don't know whether it was short or long.  But the Bible does say David was "ruddy and fair", (like an Irishman) and Jesus was of the line of David, and both were of the Tribe of Judah.  There's no 100% correlation of course, but there is the possibility that they looked somewhat alike in their basic features.

Which one of the following Jews do you think Jesus looked like?

Joseph Lieberman, Paul Newman, Ted Koppel, Harrison Ford, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., Kirk Douglas, Kevin Costner, Stephen Breyer, Yitzhak Rabin, Michael Landon, Lorne Greene, Mike Wallace, Benjamin Netanyahu, William Shatner, Douglas Fairbanks, Cary Grant, Leonard Bernstein, Paul Simon, Ariel Sharon, David Frost, Morley Safer, Ari Fleischer,

Jack Benny, Alan King, Casper Weinberger, Carl Reiner, George Burns, Red Buttons, Sam Levinson, Bernard Goldberg, Robert Downey Jr., Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Peter Sellers, Tony Curtis, Edward G. Robinson, Wolf Blitzer, Mel Torme, Paul Wellstone, Peter Falk, Leonard Nimoy, Jerry Springer, Arlen Spector, William Cohen,

Barry Goldwater, Robert Rubin, William Roth, Howard Metzenbaum, Hyman Rickover, Robert Reich, Russ Feinberg, Stanley Mosk, Arthur Burns, Milton Friedman, Bill Kristol, Victor Borge, William Kristol, Warren Rudman, etc.

They look like Celts to me, rather than "movie" stereotyped Jews.
