I used to rant here about how we should cut-off all aid to Israel. And, I thought they were just as guilty sometimes as the "Palestinians" were. I was foolish and uninformed.

... And I see that there are no "Palestinians", just Arabs and others trying to destroy Israel. Led by some godless idiot Egyptian named Mohammed Yasser Abdul-Ra'ouf Qudwa Al-Husseini aka Yasser Arafat

You describe me well! I felt the same way towards Israel. I was an idiot. My eyes have been opened since 9/11, and I would like to paraphrase President Kennedy and say "Ich bin ein Israeli". (how would you say that in Hebrew?)

Years from now it will be obvious that 9/11 was the worst thing that could ever happened to the Palestinians.

This seems a very good point to me.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "Letter to an Anti-Zionist Friend"

". . . You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--this is God's own truth. "Antisemitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know also this: anti-Zionist is inherently antisemitic, and ever will be so.

"Why is this? You know that Zionism is nothing less than the dream and ideal of the Jewish people returning to live in their own land. The Jewish people, the Scriptures tell us, once enjoyed a flourishing Commonwealth in the Holy Land. From this they were expelled by the Roman tyrant, the same Romans who cruelly murdered Our Lord. Driven from their homeland, their nation in ashes, forced to wander the globe, the Jewish people time and again suffered the lash of whichever tyrant happened to rule over them.

"The Negro people, my friend, know what it is to suffer the torment of tyranny under rulers not of our choosing. Our brothers in Africa have begged, pleaded, requested--DEMANDED the recognition and realization of our inborn right to live in peace under our own sovereignty in our own country.

"How easy it should be, for anyone who holds dear this inalienable right of all mankind, to understand and support the right of the Jewish People to live in their ancient Land of Israel. All men of good will exult in the fulfilment of God's promise, that his People should return in joy to rebuild their plundered land.

This is Zionism, nothing more, nothing less.

"And what is anti-Zionist? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the Globe. It is discrimination against Jews, my friend, because they are Jews. In short, it is antisemitism.

"The antisemite rejoices at any opportunity to vent his malice. The times have made it unpopular, in the West, to proclaim openly a hatred of the Jews. This being the case, the antisemite must constantly seek new forms and forums for his poison. How he must revel in the new masquerade! He does not hate the Jews, he is just 'anti-Zionist'!

"My friend, I do not accuse you of deliberate antisemitism. I know you feel, as I do, a deep love of truth and justice and a revulsion for racism, prejudice, and discrimination. But I know you have been misled--as others have been--into thinking you can be 'anti-Zionist' and yet remain true to these heartfelt principles that you and I share.

Let my words echo in the depths of your soul: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--make no mistake about it."

Micah 4

The LORD's Reign in Zion

Swords into Plowshares
1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days
        That the mountain of the LORD's house
        Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
        And shall be exalted above the hills;
        And peoples shall flow to it.
        2Many nations shall come and say,
        "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
        To the house of the God of Jacob;
        He will teach us His ways,
        And we shall walk in His paths."
        For out of Zion the law shall go forth,
        And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
        3He shall judge between many peoples,
        And rebuke strong nations afar off;
        They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
        And their spears into pruning hooks;
        Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
        Neither shall they learn war anymore.

        4But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree,
        And no one shall make them afraid;
        For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.
        5For all people walk each in the name of his god,
        But we will walk in the name of the LORD our God
        Forever and ever.

Zion's Future Triumph
6 "In that day," says the LORD,
        "I will assemble the lame,
        I will gather the outcast
        And those whom I have afflicted;
        7I will make the lame a remnant,
        And the outcast a strong nation;
        So the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion
        From now on, even forever.
        8And you, O tower of the flock,
        The stronghold of the daughter of Zion,
        To you shall it come,
        Even the former dominion shall come,
        The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem."

        9Now why do you cry aloud?
        Is there no king in your midst?
        Has your counselor perished?
        For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor.
        10Be in pain, and labor to bring forth,
        O daughter of Zion,
        Like a woman in birth pangs.
        For now you shall go forth from the city,
        You shall dwell in the field,
        And to Babylon you shall go.
        There you shall be delivered;
        There the LORD will redeem you
        From the hand of your enemies.

        11Now also many nations have gathered against you,
        Who say, "Let her be defiled,
        And let our eye look upon Zion."
        12But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD,
        Nor do they understand His counsel;
        For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor.

        13"Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion;
        For I will make your horn iron,
        And I will make your hooves bronze;
        You shall beat in pieces many peoples;
        I will consecrate their gain to the LORD,
        And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth."

Isaiah 2
Malachi 4:4

We're going up!
2 Chronicles 36:22,23

You have stated it very well. The destruction of the Temple and the scattering of the Jewish people was predicted centuries before it happened. The birth of the modern nation of Israel was predicted thousands of years ago.

In Revelations (last book of the Bible) it is written that Israel will be a nation when the Last Days begin. Yes, the Jews are God's chosen people. It is because of a Jewish Carpenter (God's son) that we become children of God.

An ancient Jewish sage wrote that "there is nothing new under the sun". In ancient times people would sacrifice their children in vain attempts to control and appease their gods. Some of the ancient enemies of the Hebrews would toss their own living babies into sacrificial fires or bury them alive under the foundations of their houses. Today some enemies of the Jewish nation willingly sacrifice their children to the "God of Jihad" in vain attempts destroy their enemies and appease their god.

I have some sympathy for some of the Palestinian Muslims because they've been brainwashed practically from birth and are manipulated by demons and demon handlers. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that their enemies aren't Jews, their enemies are their Muslim controllers. Palestinians are treated terribly in other Arab countries. WHY DON'T THE YELLOW PRESS PROPAGANDISTS, THE PEACENIKS AND OTHER LIARS, INCLUDING CHURCH LEADERS, EVER TALK ABOUT THAT?!!

WHY ARE SO MANY CHURCH LEADERS LYING ABOUT THE TRUE SITUATION IN ISRAEL? GOD IS NOT MOCKED.

Indeed, the Palestinians are not welcome in ANY islamic country. Egypt guards it's border with the Israeli side TO PREVENT PALESTINAINS FROM ENTERING EGYPT. The media does never mention anything negative about the Arab states.

Only a few times one can see documentaries about the treatment of woman there, or the persecution of Christians.

And when it was the last time you saw something about the cruelties from the Khilafah?

The muslims are also letting them be led by evil. They need to see that sending ones kids into death is a great evil deed.

Genesis 17:8 - And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Isaiah 28:1 - Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

God did send his son to us to show us the way to the light. He died for us ALL to show us that way. If the Palestinians would look towards that light they would see what we see: Salvation.

I wouldn't call myself pro-Israeli, or even anti-Palestinian. I just think that people that blow up pizzarias, toy stores, candy shops and the other "targets" or terrorism are scum, and whether they were right or wrong before exploding their bomb, they are definitely wrong after.

Moral Fortitude Vs. Vacillation in the Middle East
Source:CNSNews.com Commentary from the National Anxiety Center
Published: April 01, 2002; Author: Alan Caruba

"It now appears that the Bush administration has decided to support Israel fully in its desperate need to protect itself against its enemies. The reason is simplicity itself. The enemies of Israel are the enemies of America and the West. The enemy is the worldwide Islamic Jihad.

The Islamic Jihad, if one takes note of the headlines, was waged this passed week in Jammu, India, when Muslims attacked a Hindu place of worship, and, of course, against Israel. The Jihad is being waged in the Philippines, in Indonesia, in Russia, and lies just beneath the surface in nations that include England and throughout Europe.

The war is not about a "Palestinian State" because Israel is a sovereign nation and there is no need for it to cede its own land, much of it won in battles against besieging neighbor nations, in order to justify its existence.

Moreover, Israel is simply America's and Europe's "front lines" in the Middle East. Our front lines at home can be found at "Ground Zero" and in the rebuilt Pentagon. Our front lines represent every target the Islamic Jihadist has targeted for destruction. Our front lines are those defeatists who would thwart our ability to achieve a higher level of energy independence.........."

For me, it has nothing to do with religion. It is much simpler than that:

Because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. It is International Relations 101.

(...and the fact that they let citizens carry automatic weapons is a big plus!)

>First and foremost, because God Almighty promised Abraham, "I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee."

But who does that apply to?  The answer is much broader than perhaps you think.

>Because the Jews are the chosen people of my God

Where does it say that?   Please check out the 3-MINUTE HISTORY at my Profile before you answer.

I tried to find it, but it's not in my KJV Bible. Where do you see that? {ggg}.

Fascinating, isn't it, to see how many here base their sympathy for Israel on religious conviction, and how many base it on concepts of political legitimacy? It's troubling, though, to see how many old-style conservatives are still unable to get past their Robert Novak-style anti-semitism. My own parents are this way, and it's always based on some religious assessment. It seems biases based on religious points-of-view are always harder to re-evaluate than merely political ones. ANYWAY, put me in the second camp of Pro-Israel thinkers. I really don't care what they say God promised them. The Muslims probably think the same thing about themselves. I'm for Isreal because they are a sane democracy that allows even the Arabs to vote, because they are our ally, and because they are fighting against the same hate-filled, bloodthirsty maniacs we are. I wish the Administration could see this.
