Israeli police storm Jerusalem's most contested holy site
Israeli police have stormed into the most sensitive religious site in the Holy Land, throwing stun grenades at Palestinian rock-throwers, police said.
After Friday prayers at the Al Aqsa Mosque on the disputed hilltop in the Old City of Jerusalem, Palestinian youths started throwing rocks at Israeli police posted at a gate just outside, and at Jewish worshippers at the Western Wall below, police said.
Police stormed into the open area outside the mosque and threw stun grenades, according to a police announcement. Police said the rock-throwing was continuing, and police were on the scene.
One policeman was lightly injured by a rock, police said.
The site is known to Muslims as Haram as-Sharif, the Noble Sanctuary, which holds two large mosques. Muslims revere it as the site from where the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven.
Eighteen months of Palestinian-Israeli violence erupted after Ariel Sharon, now Israel's prime minister, visited the site in September 2000 to emphasize Israel's claim of sovereignty to what they call the Temple Mount. The two mosques are built atop the ruins of the biblical Jewish Temples.

I don't know that's a bunch of water and it's full of hungry fish.
Without getting too graphic might I suggest that the result of all of those bodies in the sea would be to make the waters of the Mediterranean poisonous to all life. The bodies of the dead fish of the Mediterranean would also be covering the shores of that sea, adding to the filth, poison, and disease. This is not a nice picture.
The majority of Arabs coudn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
If you ever have seen a fish tank which wasn't properly maintained and which is full of dead fish, you will see what I am trying to convey.
Noticed that too, eh? These brave leaders never act; they just talk their idiotic followers into performing the insanity.
Well, that would be some prudent planning.
Exactly. We can never understand Evil. The best we can do is learn to recognize it. It's taken me a lifetime to realize it, but Evil really exists.
That may be, but they sure do a good job of fighting themselves into a corner.

They also said that we discouraged Sharon regarding exile because then who would Israel deal with, Hamas? And plus, Fox News said, both the defense minister Eliezer and FM Shimon Peres threatened to walk (they are both Labor) and topple the govt if Sharon exiled Arafat.
Maybe Arafat will trip and his service revolver go off or something.
Remember what Aragorn said to Frodo in the Inn at Bree, regarding his level of fear?
I still have a hard time believing this...I think its more like: "The majority of the Arab countries can't stand the Palestinians and don't want them on their soil" I believe the Palestinians have just been USED by the rest of the Arab world as a Islamic propaganda tool to stir up a frenzy to spread the "peaceful" teachings of Allah. I dont think the Arab world gives a hoot about the Pals, and all this talk about Arab nations joining up with the Pals is just that, talk.
I think this will blow up into a regional conflict asap...
No way...The Iraeli military might makes the rest of the Arab world look like their fighting with slingshots. Even if there was a regional conflict...I'd give it about 2 two weeks before Israel was finished taking care of business.
