Just talked to Jim Bryant Chief, Division of Water and Lands at BOR and here's what he said:

Gail Norton, Ann Vennamen, and Gordon Smith will be here Friday March 29th to officially open the headgates. The press release that Jim had from DOI said that all will happen between 9:30 to 10:45 AM.

I checked the DOI website for the press release and it hasn't been posted yet. Will let you know more as I learn it.

The farms have been getting water all winter through other gates for the areas that do winter soaking and wetting. And the river is still flowing like crazy, lake is ready to run over. About the same as last year. The water shortage was a scam.Ed Hubel.

I agree, a lawsuit is in order. I would suggest that the farmers look into hiring the same law firm that won the spotted owl suit in California. We should start a fundraising drive to contribute, as soon as they have a legal team in place.

Subsidized my ass! This water was paid for last year at the cost of 5.7 MILLION dollars and was never delivered. The farmers in the basin OWN the project, IT IS THEIR WATER! Paid for in blood in WWII and over and over again in cash to the government, who never gets it right. You need to study the issue, and apoligize to the farmer's for a remark like that.
