Dole is a carpetbagger, regardless of how you slice it. She has been stuffed down our throats by Bush and the professional politicians inside the beltway. I for one will not vote for her.

One of the candidates, Ada Fisher, posted herself outside the club with a sign protesting the denial of what she called her "free speech."

Oh! This is funny! With all the talk of what's constitutional and what isn't, this is a potential embarassment for her since she apparently doesn't understand the Constitution, either.

The First Amendment states, "CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

This doesn't apply to private property. In my home, I can throw whoever I want out on the street for saying the slightest thing I don't like. This doesn't mean I actually would, but, I'm not violating anyone's Constitutional rights if I were to do so.

This woman's "free speech" was not curtailed. You don't have "free speech" at someone else's party. Congress is not supposed to deprive you of free speech, but people in their private homes and/or gatherings can.

You all in N.C. are about to elect another RINO in the person of Ms. Dole. We did in Texas...Mr. Cornyn. Now we have the miserable choice this November between a "Republican" RINO socialist or a democrat socialist...What a choice!

Why not just elect your local liberal communist democrat and save yourselves a lot of grief and dissapointment?

There are RINO's everywhere starting at the very top of our government. Rush Limbaugh can't even hide his dissapiontment any longer and is making a valiant effort to be supportive of a president who is clearly advancing the liberal agenda. Bush has krapped on his conservitave base...Worse, he has the all the RINO's as well as the communists in Congress helping him.

So it goes....RINO after RINO lies, people are suckered in, he gets elected.....and our life, liberty and property are pounded into the RINO rat hole.

L. Dole formerly in charge of the Red Cross !

I was dispirited by B. Dole's nomination and the giveaway of that election, now L. Dole stands to repeat the fiasco.

Not a fan of Libby Dole. Glad I don't live in North Carolina. Nevertheless, the "New" North Carolina would never elect the second coming of Jesse Helms.

Ada Fisher has about as much chance of winning the primary, even if Dole wasnt in it, as I have of winning it.

Elizabeth Dole was the keynote speaker at the Cabarrus County Republican Party's annual Reagan Day dinner on Monday. Other GOP candidates were invited to attend but not speak.

I guess Fisher and Snyder didn't read the small print. I think they may be a couple of whiners.

We had out Lincoln Day dinner here in Brazoria County. Tom DeLay was the keynote speaker and he was the only one who spoke. Of course there were several meet your candidate forums all over the county before the primaries and at that time each candidate was given a certain amount of time to state their positions and take questions. There were debates. They also went out, knocked on doors, shook some hands and met people.

If the Republican attendees have a problem with this they should vote to "impeach" the party leadership in N.C. If not, then they are supporting their candidate Dole.In other words, these two other candidates should lobby the grassroots, get the grassroots to insist that leadership open the doors to everyone. If this isn't happening, then it would seem that the grass root committeemen ar O.K. with Dole.

Life is full of disappointments...and this is one of them. They sound like a couple of whiners.

"I can beat anybody in a fair race," she said. "But when you tie me down and stuff my mouth so I can't talk, it's a little difficult."

Boy does this sound familiar. They have chosen their annointed one, the one "they" want, the hell with the others. This same $hit happened to me last year, F'nnn RINO'S....

She'll fit right into Congress. Seems she's as totally ignorant of the Constitution as the incumbents. Someone needs to tell Ada that her right to Free Speech doesn not include a right to simply show up somewhere and give a speech uninvited. Good grief.
