(sh)City Council last year, when they were banning small guns, I was like "Yeah, it's gonna make a big ol' difference being raped at the point of a .45 rather than a snub-nosed .38. I can see the gangstas now, 'Hey, Brotha, let's knock off that liquor store in the city. Make sure you bring the larger gun.'"

There seem to be two types of anti-Second Amendment women: (1) those of the Sarah Brady ilk....the my-husband-is-no-longer-the-man-he-used-to-be, so-I-am-going-to-make-myself-feel-better-by-allowing-myself-to-be-used-as-a-pawn-by-the-extra-Constitutionalist-subjugators mindset -- of which Charles Blek appears to be a male prototype, or (2) the Jennifer Mendoza (aka Rosie O'Donnell) ilk....the ostensibly Million, but really only a couple o' thousand Mom March type, who are in search of a cause celebre, and who use their so-called higher indoctrination education to exhibit to the world their catechism-learned hand-wringing concern for the masses (at the risk of redundancy, pitouie! here, too)

It makes me so happy to see Libertarian groups making at least some inroads on some campuses. Why the young, in droves, are going for the statist Greens is beyond me. To infect the young with the contagious fever of Liberty is my ultimate goal.

And they really don't care! Here was a man supposedly in "this" due to the death of his son, yet he had none of the respect for the anecdotal evidence of those who have suffered from the laws he and his ilk have foisted on us that he asked for for himself.

I know what you mean, about having trouble hating the Bleks (and others, as well). They lost their son to a street hoodlum, and we parents all know what a never-ending nightmare that must be ... I can't even make my mind go there, and don't want to try too hard.

 

 

Exactly! As a mom, I also CANNOT imagine losing a child. But to anything, not just guns but cars and planes and terrorists and statists and bad chicken and hockey pucks and the Hanta virus and just life in general.

 

I'm sorry for his loss. Truly. But he chose to attack our Liberty. Did he think he could do it without being challenged?

It seems that this gentlemen is of the variety who recognizes everyone elses heartfelt life stories as merely "personal anecdotes", yet perceives his as vitally important to the survival of the world. I suppose I can forgive him some temporary blindness regarding his loss, but surely the truth,(that his personal story is no more important than anyone else's) must become apparent to him at some point.
