***Freeper Was Push Polled-Get over CFR-We are at war
Email sent to congressman Simmons | March 23, 2002 | VRWC_minion

Posted on 03/23/2002 4:34:33 AM PST by VRWC_minion

Mr Simmons,

This is to advise you about a push poll that was directed to me last night about 9pm in East Hampton. After establishing I was a likely voter, the oldest male and was a republican I was asked who I would vote for. After telling them the republican candidate most likely (because I don't know you because of redistricting) I was asked a series of questions which included (not exact wording) :

1. Simmons voted for 450 million in retro active tax benefits for Enron.

2. Simmons voted against school building.

3. Simmons voted against allowing us to sure HMO's and taking away benefits from elderly.

He then asked me would I still vote for Simmons. I told him his questions were based on flawed premises and that this was a push poll. I was surprised that he didn't tell me Simmons was an ax murderer but yes I will still vote for the ax murderer.

The contact person I was given for this poll is Amy Collier, 215-641-2200 ext 2247. I left her a message telling her the polling company was lower scum than Clinton.

I am angry about this call and am willing to offer whatever assistance I can to you in the upcoming election in East Hampton, please let me know what I can do to help.

Ray

You've taken a character pounding here this morning.

You obviously meant to say a pounding by a character.

I respect MDC more due to the little smear bout you started with him.

Did you take him up on that wager, BTW?

You're a fine example (if any of what you just posted is true) that money doesnt buy you smarts, and you don't need to be smart to be rich.

appoint conservative judges

Ahem. Bush nominates [former Clinton nominee] Cercone to District Court. Evidently, Bush believes if he nominates a Democrat to the bench Daschle will respond in kind by confirming conservatives. Care to make a wager on whether Daschle will play ball?

If you think I'm going to admit to something that someone might construe as a violation of campaign finance laws, you're a bigger loser than even I thought you were, which is a hell of an accomplishment.

Last chance to prove I'm a liar. Take the bet.

All I'm saying, unfortunately is that it doesn't seem like there's any difference. Please...tell me I'm wrong.

Unfortunately, these are my choices. In fact if Simmons were more conservative his election chances drop in CT. But given that these are my only choices which do i make knowing that if the RAT's gain control they polls will hasten the road to socialism instead of rising up and electing libertarians.

Absolutely true. I know a lot of stupid rich people. One thing you can't deny though. For an overwhelming number of those people, their money is a result of their success. I'm proud of my success.

My success is a direct result of my personal drive, ambition, and business sense. That's what the American culture nurtures. That's why I can laugh at someone like you, who spends his time and energy squandering opportunity bashing other people.

That's also why the Constitution is so important to me, because success stories abound in this country more than any other because of that document and the liberty and freedom it represents. I'm not trumpeting my wealth. I'm trumpeting my success.

You contribute so very little to these threads besides being the hired rah-rah help for your sick libertine friends. But I wont bring the full force of my ideas to bear upon you because you seem like a nice lady.

Fine. But if Simmons (and Johnson) turn in the face of criticism (I was told by the Johnson campaign that she was 'afraid of the backlash' from voting against the bill), what have you accomplished by swallowing hard and voting against your beliefs?

how did your gun grabbing hero Senator Peter Fitzgerald vote on CFR?

He voted in favor of it. It's reason #2 why he's lost my support. Reason #1 was his turning against the Second Amendment by voting for more Gun Control, after having run as a Pro-Gun candidate.

Case closed. I'm at least consistent on my political views, and I refuse to support ANY candidate who willingly violates their oath of office (Protect & Defend the Constitution of the United States.)

That's far more than I can say about many people on this thread, who are so willing to give President Bush a pass for signing CFR citing "political expediency" or "defanging the Dem's" as their argument.

Either we elect & support people who stand on principle (as Bush said PRIOR to being elected) or we get the government we deserve.

President Bush presented himself as a man of principle & character. He sure as hell isn't showing it by signing this UNCONSTITUTIONAL bill, now is he?

NO, he isn't.

BTW: I don't know or frankly care where you got the idea that Peter Fitzgerald was some sort of "hero" to me, but your cheap shots are very telling about your inability to debate the issues.

Peter Fitzgerald is no more conservative in my mind, than Hillary Clinton.

Stick that in your pipe (or wherever) and smoke it.

Just as I suspected. You're a gelding. It's pretty easy to sit behind that monitor and type away the insults and nonsensical bravado, but when it comes time to put up or shut up, you run like a scared rabbit.
