***Freeper Was Push Polled-Get over CFR-We are at war
Email sent to congressman Simmons | March 23, 2002 | VRWC_minion

Posted on 03/23/2002 4:34:33 AM PST by VRWC_minion

Mr Simmons,

This is to advise you about a push poll that was directed to me last night about 9pm in East Hampton. After establishing I was a likely voter, the oldest male and was a republican I was asked who I would vote for. After telling them the republican candidate most likely (because I don't know you because of redistricting) I was asked a series of questions which included (not exact wording) :

1. Simmons voted for 450 million in retro active tax benefits for Enron.

2. Simmons voted against school building.

3. Simmons voted against allowing us to sure HMO's and taking away benefits from elderly.

He then asked me would I still vote for Simmons. I told him his questions were based on flawed premises and that this was a push poll. I was surprised that he didn't tell me Simmons was an ax murderer but yes I will still vote for the ax murderer.

The contact person I was given for this poll is Amy Collier, 215-641-2200 ext 2247. I left her a message telling her the polling company was lower scum than Clinton.

I am angry about this call and am willing to offer whatever assistance I can to you in the upcoming election in East Hampton, please let me know what I can do to help.

Ray

We are still at war folks. Simmons is in CT. Simmons won his first election to congress last time by very slim margin. CT has redistricted and the added towns may make him very vulnerable.

Having a push poll start this early with the recharachterization of the issues so blatantly false should be a large wake up call about our priorities. Can we please see who the enemy is and how they use the ignorance of the issues by most folks to win. Bush is not the enemy he is just a skilled fighter that knows what and who he is fighting. I think we all need to get a better prespective on what we are up against.

So, anyone have advise on how to fight back on a push poll ?

Simmons voted for CFR. He is supposedly 'the most conservative member of the Connecticut Congressional delegation.'

He lost my vote, and I hope he loses. He's no conservative.

You would rather lose the house too then. Why not just go out today and campaign for Hillary ?

Area code 215 is in the Philly area. There is a polling firm located in Media, PA - I'm betting that's who conducted the poll.

The firm to which I referred earlier was ICR-International Communications Research, a division of AUS. This company does a ton of polling; much of what you see ABC and the other networks "report" is conducted by ICR. I'm not sure if this is firm who called you, but I'm betting it is. (BTW, area code 484 and 215 overlap each other)

LOL! Why don't you people put the same old tired bulls--t on a chip or an email autoresponder so that you can save your voices and typing fingers.

The threat that someone 'worse' will take his place means nothing to me. There is nothing worse than using the U.S. Constitution for toilet paper. I've been saying that for a week now, and it still is just as powerful.

Actually, there IS something worse...claiming you're on my side and then using the U.S. Constitution as toilet paper, a la G.W. Bush.

Sounds like your choice is between real Lib and less Lib. Go with the less Lib.
