But given that these are my only choices which do i make knowing that if the RAT's gain control they polls will hasten the road to socialism instead of rising up and electing libertarians.

Fine. But if Simmons (and Johnson) turn in the face of criticism (I was told by the Johnson campaign that she was 'afraid of the backlash' from voting against the bill), what have you accomplished by swallowing hard and voting against your beliefs?
