Virginia FReepers! - Time to give John RINO Warner the Heave HO!
3/21/2002 | P8riot

Virginia Freepers - John RINO Warner has oversytayed his welcome! He has turned his back on the people of Virginia, and the United States. His betrayal of his oath to uphold the Constitution, by virtue of his vote in favor of the McCain-Feingold bill, has confirmed what alot of us already knew concerning his liberal leanings.

Fellow Virginians, now is the time to deal a blow for freedom in this Commonwealth, and the country as a whole. The United States, and the people of Virginia deserve someone who will look after their welfare, and their Constitutional Rights. Today let us begin the search for the man or woman of the highest character, who will hold to the highest ideals, and who will stand in the gap for all Virginians. Let us elect someone who will treat the Constitution with the highest respect, and will not compromise their beliefs based on political expedience, someone who will fight for the freedoms that we all hold so dear.

This great nation began in our Commonwealth. The lamp of freedom was kindled almost exactly two hundred sevenety seven years ago by no less a Virginian than Patrick Henry, the first governor of our free commonwealth, when he said:

"If we wish to be free-- if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending--if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained--we must fight!"

Our nation's struggle began here, and it ended here at Yorktown in 1781.Today we are engaged in another struggle, the struggle to preserve the freedoms for which so many of our countrymen gave their lives. This struggle may not be with the use of arms, but it is a war nevertheless. The struggle is against a philosophy that threatens the very fabric of our wills. Our heritage compels us to action, and our freedoms and livelyhoods demand it.

Let us go forward now, and deliver a message to John Warner that we hold him responsible for the errosion of freedoms in our land. Indeed, we are the only ones this side of judgement that can do this. Those in other states who are likewise disposessed must also do the same in regard to their representatives. Let us select such a person as will be the true representative of the people of our great Commonwealth. Let the search begin now. Contact the representatives, or other individuals, that you trust will uphold the highest ideals of our great Republic. Leave no stone unturned. We must not hold our peace now, or we will forced to do so forever.

I don't get it, You say Warner is a Rino that should be voted out because he has some views that aren't 100% Conservative, I give you some examples that the most Conservative president until now did that weren't 100% conservative and you say he was the Greatest President, huh? You can't have it both ways.

Sorry, but in 1994, John Warner stabbed Ollie North in the back. Got a Democrat re-elected. This is one RINO who must go.

My point is that I am seeing more Bashing from Republican to Republican than from Republican to Democrat. Keep up the good work guys. It's because of people like you who didn't want to vote for George Bush SR. because you considered him a RHINO and you stayed at home or voted for Perot that we had 8 years of Clinton/Gore and we had 8 years of you guys bitching about it after the fact.

We're on the same page. This is one of the most disgusting elements about conservatives. I voted for Bush in 92 just because I couldn't stomach Clinton and thought Perot was a pipe-dream. Too many conservatives live in some kind of fantasy land!!

You are such a RHINO!, how can you adore a president that backed the Brady Law all the way, signed the most Liberal law in California regarding abortion, gave full Amnesty to millions of Illegals, and fully support the MLK holiday?
(sarcasm off)

Yeah, as usual he was half right.

But if we start today to unseat Warner- we'd better be planing on doing it in 2008, cause he's sure got a lock on this election!

The acronym is RINO, not RHINO! It stands for Republican IN Name Only. If you'd lived here for the last 45 yrs. such as I, you would understand better the Warner dilemma & betrayals.

I wish we can get more Conservative guys in the Congress and Senate that will bring foward the policies of the New Right, but while there are a bunch of wild Commies in their we have to take our fight to the Left and not some Conservatives who don't agree with us on 100% of the issues.

Look SDDC, I think it's very admirable for someone your age to be conscious of their country's political make up as you are. And even more admirable that you're a conservative.

Now the few items regarding President Reagan you listed, I didn't, and don't, have a problem with.
Want to know what I've a problem with regarding Senator Warner? He is no friend of supply-side economics. And note: voting for legislation, (even President Reagan's), does not mean one has converted.

If you haven't, you might want to read Reagan: In His Own Hand. It'll give you an idea of a conservative who had great foresight, knowledge and common sense.

P.S. Take note that I didn't insult you, or rebut your arguments by trying to link you with some fringe element. *S*

Yep. Also, if it weren't for Warner's treachery, Ollie North would be a senator today instead of Robb.

Warner is a pompous sucker upper. Should have been dumped long ago.

I agree - conservatives are self-destructive - no wonder the democrats are so smug - they've figured us out! just like McCain. The only people who should have fear are the liberals losing THEIR base! We need to go after the African-Americans, who I believe are basically conservative in their guts!
