Virginia Freepers - John RINO Warner has oversytayed his welcome! He has turned his back on the people of Virginia, and the United States. His betrayal of his oath to uphold the Constitution, by virtue of his vote in favor of the McCain-Feingold bill, has confirmed what alot of us already knew concerning his liberal leanings.
Fellow Virginians, now is the time to deal a blow for freedom in this Commonwealth, and the country as a whole. The United States, and the people of Virginia deserve someone who will look after their welfare, and their Constitutional Rights. Today let us begin the search for the man or woman of the highest character, who will hold to the highest ideals, and who will stand in the gap for all Virginians. Let us elect someone who will treat the Constitution with the highest respect, and will not compromise their beliefs based on political expedience, someone who will fight for the freedoms that we all hold so dear.
This great nation began in our Commonwealth. The lamp of freedom was kindled almost exactly two hundred sevenety seven years ago by no less a Virginian than Patrick Henry, the first governor of our free commonwealth, when he said:
"If we wish to be free-- if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending--if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained--we must fight!"
Our nation's struggle began here, and it ended here at Yorktown in 1781.Today we are engaged in another struggle, the struggle to preserve the freedoms for which so many of our countrymen gave their lives. This struggle may not be with the use of arms, but it is a war nevertheless. The struggle is against a philosophy that threatens the very fabric of our wills. Our heritage compels us to action, and our freedoms and livelyhoods demand it.
Let us go forward now, and deliver a message to John Warner that we hold him responsible for the errosion of freedoms in our land. Indeed, we are the only ones this side of judgement that can do this. Those in other states who are likewise disposessed must also do the same in regard to their representatives. Let us select such a person as will be the true representative of the people of our great Commonwealth. Let the search begin now. Contact the representatives, or other individuals, that you trust will uphold the highest ideals of our great Republic. Leave no stone unturned. We must not hold our peace now, or we will forced to do so forever.
Yup. You see just a few short months ago, I (a native Virginian) was arguing the same as you. But enough is enough, he caved on CFR, he caved on Impeachment, he'll cave again.
I've no intention of abandoning our party because of apathy to conservative ideals from moderate Republicans.
The G.O.P. got a well needed renovation in the 80's. It is now the House That Reagan Built, and some of it's occupants have overstayed their welcome!
Are you libertarian?
Are You a Bircher?
Regardless, if you could help defeat Warner - with his voting record, you have a conservative death wish.
Oh, it's just this one time. Just like Squealer: "Tactics, comrades, tactics!"
And a lifetime rating of 82, along with Frank Wolf another Beltway Bandit RINO. Hell, Independent - Virgil Goode, who started out as a Democrat has a better lifetime rating than either Warner or Wolf.
Warner's been in the Senate longer than you've been alive.
Hey, Mud, help this guy out.
John Warner voted for the Brady Bill.
John Warner voted to allow government funding for abortions.
John Warner failed to support the candidacy of Mike Farris and Oliver North.
Warner's ACU rating has been climbing as her nears re-election. From 84% in '99 to 92% in '00 to 96% in '01. Obviously, a savvy politician.
GOOD LORD! California!? Why don't you concern yourself with things that concern you? You haven't got a clue of what we're talking about.
