Fox News Channel ^

Posted on 03/21/2002 12:43:09 PM PST by Recovering_Democrat

Bizarre case, and Neil Cavuto has Greta Van Cistern as commentator. If you can handle that, tune in to FNC and see what the verdict is...

Holy cow!! Justice in a SAN FRANCISCO COURTROOM!! I'M STUNNED!!

While I absolutely agree with these verdicts... keep in mind the victim was a Lesbian... had she not been, I wonder if the verdict would have been the same.

Don't you people even follow the News? That was a Los Angeles jury that found them guilty in a Los Angeles Courtroom.

The adopted son of these defendants is a leader in the Aryan Brotherhood. ("Cornfed" Schneider is name--but I cannot remember his first name). Allegedly--and the depositions in the civil suit should be fun--they adopted Cornfed because they wanted a 3-way marriage. Alternately, they wanted to be able to manage his money should anything happen to him in prison. Or both.

Either way, it's icky. Some of the letters from Noel to Cornfed are especially interesting, including one that was reported on--that if Cornfed wanted to escape, Noel would not stand in his way.

Oh, I think the guy's first name is Paul. But don't take that as an absolute fact.

"I have seen many vicious dogs in my life, and some that were attacking people. I have never seen a dog that could not be pulled off the victim by the dog's owner. Most even responded to the voice commands of their owners" Not my little 5 lb. pomeranian. She'll latch on to the ankle of any stranger who tries to come near me and I have to grab her. I've told my husband many times, if he a larger dog we would have to put her to sleep. :-(

Hubbie will be watching a different kind of sex act in the big house and rover will not be involved.

Although the person in question might call him his 'dawg..'

My question was simply that I personally do wonder if a SF grand jury would have chosen to indict had the victim not been homosexual... I am not saying they should not have.

I agree they should have been indicted no matter what! But I am telling you SF is the most far removed from reality place I have ever been, the politics of that area of the country are so liberal, Diane Fienstien looks like a conservative to them. This is an area of the country where personal responsibility for many people is a foreign concept... everything is the fault of society or someone else.. they have excuses for any behavior. About the only time these people aren't excusing something is if the victim is part of a politically correct group, such as this case.

My pondering was not a justification of the defense, or signalling that I believe justice was not served by these verdicts... It absolutely was. Far as I am concerned the husband is guilty of murder too! My question is not biggoted but honest pondering. Don't blame me that the bay areas politics are so skewed that reasonable people question events from the area.

I caught a little of the story on radio yesterday...wish I had heard it all. Apparently these two (Knoller and Noel) had really gone downhill in the legal profession, except that they developed quite a following in the Bay area doing pro bono work. Somehow they got linked up to that original owner, a guy named "Cornfed" something-or-other. (No, I'm not kidding.) And get this...he had some old, housebound farm lady as a pen-pal previously and he ordered her to buy the dogs as puppies. She complained to him for months that they were running wild, tearing up her farm and killing her animals, etc. Finally she decided she had enough and got rid of them (possibly to Knoller and Noel?). She also cut off contact with Cornfed and returned his letters unopened.

And imagine this...several months later this lady got a lawsuit in the mail from him suing her for the unlawful sale of his dogs!

Spend some time in the Bay area... then ask me your question again.

That is unbelievable. Guess that was the best defense she could come up with.

Speaking about "jurors", and assuming they are influenced by "other thngs" , I think it fair to say that most jurors would take a pretty dim view of lawyers, especially lawyers who adopt an Aryan Nations prisoner, and help him run a killer dog ring from his cell.

I'm almost positive that a reference to the beastiality was aired on some local reports. I've had my memory play tricks on me before, so I'm not going to state emphatically that it was. The reference was to video tape. It described her, the prisoner and the dog in the cell.

I'm checking some reports, hopefully I can pin this down. Thanks.

Right, thats where the weird sexual stuff came in.. there was a lot of money to be made breeding these 'perfect killing machines' and the wife (and husband) fell for the inmate and started the perverted stuff.

Yes, I heard something - briefly and fleeting - about it too. I thought it was brought up in the courtroom, and Knoller said something like "My sex life is nobody's business."
