After seven years of negotiations, the Senate passed a campaign finance reform bill 60-40 on Wednesday, overhauling rules on television advertising and banning "soft money" donations to national political parties.
"What we've really done for a couple of hundred million Americans is to give them the opportunity to be heard again. ... They've been rendered silent by the influence of big money," said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., a sponsor of the bill whose commitment to the issue became a platform issue in his unsuccessful bid for president in 2000.

Tube, air and paper media push socialists, almost exclusively. That's what this law is all about. They are attempting to consolidate their hold on the members of government and the direction of it's endeavors.
Three. Vote the crooks out who can't control themselves.
You have no idea how much I want to believe you.
So these... "politicians" think that the electoral process should be taken OUT of the hands of private citizens and INTO the hands of government?
It boggles the freaking mind. Not to sound like a psycho but I feel like I am ready to march on DC NOW and throw those Nazi bastards out on the streets and retake this glorious republic!
What REALLY upsets me is that half of the people that voted for this are against it but they think the suprememe court will step in and save the constitution. The question is, what if they dont?
It appalls me to think that some legislators are so cynical that they would place the CONSTITUTION at risk to get votes!?!?!?
I am amazed at the stupidity of the American People and the arrogance of some politicians in this matter. I hate to say it but in the back of my mind, I cant see why fighting for these moronic excuses for Human beings is a noble cause. They DESERVE what they get!
Of course I will continue since basic decency is something that I can not turn off like a light.
God help us all and glory to the Republic!
Stabenow D-MI - aye

Not that I really expected anything else. My thanks to the cities of Detroit and Flint for putting them in the Senate./sarcasm
I apologize to the other 49 states on behalf of the great state of Michigan for inflicting these two Morons on you.

Maybe we should instead turn our web site backgrounds to red. Red would both denote our anger about Congress attempting to legislate away our Constitutional right to free (political) speech, but also to be a not so subtle reference to the communist tactics used to usurp our capitalist marketplace for political communications. It also brings to mind the blood shed by our troops to secure our right to free speech. And of course red has a psychological effect of inducing passion and tension.
And here is our poster boy to tell 'em what they can do with CFR.
A photo of the Capital building with a red tint might be and interesting ploy too.
YES of course! Once a Liberal wins on a bill, they are on to the NEXT VERSION which will violate MORE RIGHTS and take away MORE FREEDOMS. The GOAL IS SOCIALISM. And a socialized election is one when taxpayers underwrite the election of maggot-infested dweeb socialists who couldnt raise money from self-supporting citizens themselves. If welfare works for the poor, why not for politicians????
