Silence, America!: for Silence, America!. Other Bump Lists at: Free Republic Bump List Register |
A further Mini-Editorial!
Folks, these clowns, corrupters, and frauds in Congress are trying to silence YOU!
Wake up, doggone it!
Rush and Hannity and all the hosts in the world can inveigh against this garbage day and night, but unless you actually do something about it, it will not matter one tiny iota!
Now is the time! If not now, when? When they arrest your wife or kids for "improper speech?"
Get off your rear ends and send some emails and faxes. Write letters, especially letters to editors.
Call talk shows- the local ones are easy to get on and reach a lot more people than you may realize.
This- right here, this "issue"- is where the rubber meets the road...
There are over 70,000 members here, and I know each of you knows at least two or three more people you can tell about this-- so do it! Now!
And tell them to tell 2 more people, and tell them to "pass this on to 2 more..."
The right to speak freely is as fundamental to a free society as the right to defend yourself against unprovoked attack. This is a frontal assault on your liberty and the freedom of your children and spouse.
It's time to move out, folks- march, or die....
Here's a Note to Activists:
Want to do something? Go here:
Ignorance Making You Ill? Cure It!
for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.
I say again, people- it's time to speak up- or be forever silenced!
A further aid for activists:
Sorry for the difficulties some of you experienced yesterday in reaching the
> web site to send out the 100 faxes to all 100 U.S. Senators through Sixty
> Second Activist. The URL was so long it sometimes jumped to a second line
> in the transmission, thus breaking the link. Here's a shorter link that
> should take you to where you need to go:
>
> https://secure.chargedcontribution.com/ATA_60s_Shays-Meehan2/gopnv.asp
> ( this link, while not free, allows you to send faxes to 100 senators for $21.... )
I say one last time- speak up now, or be forever silenced!
BBBWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Somehow that doesn't sit will with this citizen. It is a sad day indeed when people that claim to want to conserve the Constitution are as willing to wad it up and use it and their Oath's as toilet paper in the same way as our previous Administration did.
Republican/Democrat ... Democrat/Republican ... same/same. Anything for political power and screw the citizens for whom the Constitution was written in the first place.
So vote for YOUR GUY in the next election ?
Bullshit. These Senators violated their oath of office to uphold the Constitution by either voting or failing to oppose this clearly unconstitutional bill, and it looks like Dubya will do so as well. Any Senator who supported this bill should face censure and, if warranted, expulsion proceedings and, if Bush signs it, he should be impeached.
Tossing it off on the Court is just another lame excuse for gutlessness and dereliction of Congressional (and executive) duty. So much for "preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution.."
As for me, I called and e-mailed Domenici the other day, but have received no response. I will do the same to the White House as soon as this is passed (gag) by the Senate.
This time, I sent the card back (at their expense) and wrote on the contribution form "As long as you keep giving money to RINOS like McCain and wasting more on stupid stuff like this (arrow pointing to the plastic card), you'll never get another cent from me."
When GW got elected, I was back to being pretty proud of the Republican Party.
It's things like this however that make me shake my head in wonder what the congressional Republicans are up to again.
I see on some of the threads here on FR the Libertarians and Independents often wish they could make a go of it. It's exactly this kind of thing that makes me think maybe they've got a point. Then I remember the Perot debacles and what it cost this country. But I can see their point.
Only 13% of the taxpayers check off YES. That's why the pimps of the election indistry (R's and D's) overwhelmingly voted to increase the check-off from $1 to $3 in 1993.
By that little mesure, the pimps were able to take $75 million a year instead of $25 million from the pockets of the taxpayers!
Also the first priority of that fund is for the CONVENTIONS! So the conventions are not going to go away any time soon!
We should be standing up against the vast left wing crime machine instead of continuously leaving our guys surrounded by enemies in DC...to let them know when we're angry at a bill, but not to threaten to leave and condemn the people for serving under hostile conditions. Why should they listen to anyone who calls to offer only condemnation? We are not the enemy. Anyone who claims we are is doing the Dems. bidding.
You gotta be f-in' kiddin me
