LOS ANGELES, CA - A healthy debate in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms "Gun Ownership vs. Gun Control: Which Makes Us Safer?" will feature the self-proclaimed "million" moms March vs. the Liberty Belles, a grassroots organization out of southern California. The debate is sponsored by Students for Individual Liberty and will be held at L.A. Harbor College in Wilmington, California on March 20, 2002.
Headlining the event is Liberty Belles Spokeswoman, Anna Zetchus Raetz and Million Mom March spokesman, Charles Blek. Both organizations represent women across the nation who hold diametrically opposing viewpoints on the issue of firearms ownership. Also participating in the debate are Randy Herrst of the Center for the Study of Crime and Jennifer Mendoza, a student in favor of gun control.
"You don't have to be a psychic to predict that this will be a lively and informative debate," declares Marian Hollenbeck, Director of Public Relations for Liberty Belles. "Liberty Belles is most grateful to Students For Individual Liberty for hosting this forum. It will give attendees the rare opportunity to see a representative for Million Mom March who actually agreed to engage in a formal debate with the Liberty Belles Spokeswoman, Anna Z. Raetz, an ardent defender of our Second Amendment rights. It is well past the time for students and the public to hear for themselves the arguments made for and against our right to keep and bear arms without the usual shielding of the gun control argument that the media usually practices."
L.A. Harbor College is located at 1111 Figueroa Place in Wilmington, California. The debate will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Seahawk Center. Admission is free, and all are invited to attend.

No surprise, hey? {;~)
Is Charles a mommie????????? Rofl!!!!
Major BS. This stat, even if true, begs the questions of how many intruders were wounded, scared away by mere brandishing of a firearm or were scared to break-in in the first place.
Has anyone ever broken down these accident stats as rural vs. urban? Rural homes have a much higher % gun ownership rate, yet, I'm sure, a lower accident rate. Unlike many city gun banners, the country folk know which end the round comes out!
Some people consider guns merely tools. But you may be right, I do suspect that there are some who consider them members of the family and would want the particular one back if found.
Wouldn't matter, the boys in Kalifornicate squat to pee while their girls run the Reich.

Will YOU be there to watch AnnaZ SQUASH this guy??
As well as it being a lie, it doesn't differentiate between which so-called "friends, family members, or acquaintances" are unwelcome intruders. Sometimes, to know someone is enough to know that you don't want them in your house or near your loved ones.
Can you SPREAD the word to the O.C. gang?
Great! Looking forward to seeing yous guys;-) I'm sure we'll have a good crowd.
