Ah yes, I see the tactic. You all are going to take "credit" for this, even though Bush has stated that there would be no blanket amnesty.

Your game is very transparent, IMHO.

That's interesting. I think Bush going to Monterrey is a good idea too ---that's one Mexican city that is fairly properous and they didn't get prosperous by sending all their citizens away. It should be used as an example for the rest of Mexico.

Maybe 600,000 e mails to Bush did the trick, either that or he is hiding based on "out of sight, out of mind".

In the war against terrorism Fox put his relationship with Castro's terrorist regime ahead of the relations of Mexico with the U.S. President Bush declared that in the war against terrorism you are with us or you are with the terrorists. Castro is the main capo of the drug and terrorist network in this hemisphere. Fox publicly asserted that the relations between Cuba and Mexico are closer than ever.

Thanks to God, we have a president who would place first and foremost the security and the interest of the U.S.

This is getting ridiculous. Fox and Mexico are trying to dictate American immigration policy.

Take a flying leap you Fox. If Bush grants anymore amnesties him and the Republican Congress are finished politically. No one wants this.

Even before Sept. 11, liberalizing immigration policy was seen as a tough political sell. But since the terrorist attacks, immigration critics have been emboldened.

Well, I am not sure whom they mean. I have been an outspoken foe of "liberal" immigration since college--debated the issue on the College radio station--and never felt the need to pussy foot around it. The old National Origins system, in effect from 1924 to 1965, made sense. What we have had since does not. (See Immigration & The American Future.)

"The Mexican government is very lenient with the United States," Mexican congressman and opposition party member Marti Batres said recently…………….

What is wrong with this b!tch? Where does she come off thinking we should prostrate ourselves before the almighty taco and thank them (Mexico) for not being more punitive. Sounds like a tongue lashing at least and a threat at most.
Just what percent of the Mexican population do these people really expect us to absorb? Don’t we already house approximately 15% - 20% of Mexico?
