National ID Cards
To reduce the threat of terrorism should the federal government require everyone in the United States to carry a national electronic identification card that would contain detailed information about each person?

FReep On!

There's also a place to leave comments.
Remember, this is the same guy (Ron Sims) who forbid county employees from saying "Merry Christmas" this past Christmas.
He'll try any gimmick to get more federal dollars.
Let him know, loud and clear, that he'd better not go along with this one.

Definitely needs a good FReepin'!

NO! = 73%

I don't like the "leading" phraseology either.

Additional evidence why King County sucks, as well as a wonderful example of the 'Rats vision of our future - totalitarianism. Now it is 74% against, and I wrote him a letter as well since I live in Pierce County.

Yeah. Good point.
As if a national ID card will "reduce the threat of terrorism"!
That's akin to saying that making federal employees out of the baggage checkers will accomplish the same thing.

Why doesn't anyone ask if a National ID would INCREASE the threat of terrorism?

Naitonal ID FAQ (and more)

And I live in King County, home of the most corrupt county council I have ever seen, and Ron Sims, well... I don't have words sufficient...
