Mexico is a friend of America.

Yeah right, they send us their poor to suck up our healthcare dollars. But when it came to raising the price of oil, they were happy to stick it to us.

With friends like this, who needs enemies?

Yes, semantics is a beautiful thing isn't it? But let's cut to the bottom line, if this bit of trash, this poison pill, had not been attached to the Visa Violation Legislation, sleeper terrorist cells in this country would have been exposed to the dangers posed by this legislation. Now all they have to do is slap a thousand dollars down, get a sponser, receive a green card, and they are home free, now isn't that right?

So instead of having to fear the hammer that the Visa Violation Legislation had over their heads, they can continue to walk among us free as a bird. That is the unforgivable bottom line as well as rewarding those that have flaunted our laws and overstayed their visa's and it does not mean just those violators that have married U.S. citizens.

It won't matter to those who want to have an orgasmic flagellating orgy declaring their "betrayal".

But thank you for post.

Rush said earler that the bill passed yesterday wasn't amnesty and it was a visa extension because the INS is too inept to process the paperwork on time?

Good to know that Rush has thrown in with the GOP Clinton-speakers.

They're falling fast over this. What an awesome litmus test.

Oh, the "hard" work. Goodbye middle class construction workers, truckers, etc. You were just another blip in history.

I haven't seen a white guy doing yard work (in other than a supervisory role) since...?

I have noticed that many of the Central Americans in New York and Florida took many of the jobs (domestics, kitchen help, busboys) typically reserved for family members or blacks. As family members have gotten smaller and blacks have stopped working such positions, the Central Americans have taken their place, at least in the areas that I have lived.

I would like to know if anyone is home there between your ears. Tell me what good the Visa Violators Legislation, when the attached 245i pulls it's teeth and makes it void and USELESS??? Tell me, I'm waiting.

Uh, for the past few years Mexico (along with Norway and renegade OPEC member Venezuela) have kept us flush with cheap oil.

I have traveled widely throughout Mexico and have been treated wonderfully by 99% of the people I met. Of course, many on this thread would simply say "get away from my daughter and my trailer you w-tb-ck!"

Nevertheless, I share your opposition to this measure. Lawbreakers should not be awarded. We should instead 1. clean out INS 2. enfore the laws already on the books and 3. end family reunification.

Even though I had resident-alien status in Mexico, it still didn't mean I could work there.
I think we've been more than generous to the Mexican people in our policies and amnesty just sends the message
that we haven't the will to protect our borders...or our sovereignty.

34 posts before someone actually looked at the bill without slamming GWB. Thank you Armando. The Bill does not do any favors for people here illegally in the first place, or for those who have been deemed deportable in the first place. It most definitely doesn't help wetbacks, or anyone in the country illegally since August 15, 2001. Funny how everyone is in such an uproar over the "traitor" GWB and Pubbies.

I think the Buchananites are rearing their ugly heads again.

Good post, but facts won't stick to this knee-jerk issue. Bad timing, no explanation (except for yours), 911, to mention just a few points why this won't fly in this forum. Rove and company did a bad job here.

Every other weekend at my place in So. California. Of, course the missus and I have to do it, the kids wouldn't think of it except for the money, and if we went that route, the immigrants would be cheaper. {;~)

That from that notorious tinfoil hat wearing, radical wing-nut, George Washington.

I remember him. He was one of the Founding Terrorists. An evil, gun-loving, isolatonist, anti-government rebel.

I was in the checkout line in the grocery store a few weeks ago behind a young Hispanic lady with her little boy. She paid for her milk, cereal, juice, and peanut butter with wicke(I believe that is how it is spelled)government vouchers, she paid for the rest of her groceries with government food stamps. In her grocery basket was also bath soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, that our government does not subsidize. But the next thing that happened caught my eye, was after the cashier rang up these remaining items, which came to (if I can remember correctly) $7.42, the Hispanic lady pulled out a checkbook. She did not understand the cashier, so she handed the checkbook to the cashier, so the cashier could make out the check, which the cashier did. Then the cashier ran the check once unsuccessfully, and then a second time unsuccessfully.

Eventually, the cashier had to go back and deduct these items because the customer did not have the cash to pay for them.

1)Wicke Vouchers

2)Food Stamps

3)Checkbook

4)Can't speak English

5)Can't understand English.

I wonder who wrote the previous checks for her, how much and to whom.

The fact that they haven't been "deemed deportable" isn't the excuse, it's the problem.
