Your reply has to be the most inane, (sic)pertentious

Thats spelled pretentious by the way. When your done, I suggest you look into a remedial english language class as I didnt know borderline illiterites were allowed to post to FR.

re your Please don't ever reply to me.

The feeling is likewise. Ive heard quite enough boldfaced lies and distortions out of you to last a lifetime.

If you dont think you can handle it in a forum dedicated to politics without having a few disagreements I suggest you pack yourself up and look for other pastures.

Good day to you m'aam.

My VA doctor is Nigerian and a women. VERY intelligent, witty and speakes "perfect" english. Now compare her coming from BFE, learning our language, putting herself thru medical school...the feat is unbelievable when compared with the majority of African-American blacks who can't even seem to land a steady job at Mcdonnalds.

Your assumption is that your doc is a typical Nigerian.

America became strong because (up until recently) the kind of immigrants we got were from the most intelligent and ambitious of the people in the "old country", and they came to the US because they felt that their talents would be better rewarded here. Now we're also getting people who want to take advantage of the welfare and social service setup. Your doc sounds like she's in the former category

There are also plenty of intelligent and energetic American blacks. Look at Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, etc. They just are too smart to spend their time hanging out on porches in bad neighborhoods

what the hell do we do ? If we cut welfare they'll riot, loot and kill innocent black citizens and many whites who just happened to be in the way. If we shoot the looters on sight, we violate the very protection that keeps the rest of America safe...

Under the early Common Law, killing a felon in the act was considered "justifiable homicide" and was considered a social good.

As far as cutting welfare is concerned -- yes, if the welfare checks suddenly stopped coming, it would be lock-and-load time for everybody close to an "inner-city". I don't think the rioters would come into well-armed suburban neighborhoods, because they could be pretty sure that people WOULD open fire if necessary to protect their homes and families.

A gradual phase-out of welfare is another story. Welfare Reform theoreticly put a 5-year lifetime cap on welfare. We could shorten that as time goes by, gradually phasing it out entirely

Then just who were the Romans? Where did they come from?

To quote Clintonius Minimus, "That all depends on what the meaning of Romans is."

Originally, the Romans were an Italic people, the Latins, with Latium meaning the area around the Tiber River. The Roman Latins settled the Seven Hills that make up Rome with archeology indicating that the area was settled by 1,000 B.C.

As opposed to the tall, fair, muscular, blue-eyed Celts, the Italics were shorter, slighter, with dark hair and Mediterranean complexions.

Besides the Latins, other tribes of varying ethnicity such as the Sabines, Samnites, Oscans, etc. developed in central and southern Italy. The Latins, however, as the leading military power, absorbed the other central and southern Italian tribes into the Roman system.

However, until the Social War of 91 B.C., non-Latins were not eligible for Roman citizenship. Pompeii, for example, was originally an Oscan city and not a Latin city. Pompeiians, before the Social War, would have been classified as allies (socii) but not Roman citizens. After the Social War, all Italian cities under Roman rule were granted Roman citizenship and could then call themselves "Romans" whether they were Latins or not.

Later during the Empire, Roman citizenship was extended throughout the Empire so that a Greek, a Spaniard, a Gaul, a Briton or a Syrian, etc. could be a "Roman" even though they were not Latins.

Short synopsis of early Rome

Will write about Basques later.

Its actually quite funny, yes I do mean funny as opposed to ironic, that the blacks in SA are going to run short of food because they drove out the white farmers. I'm gonna laugh my a$$ off when starvation sets in.

Then you're an evil person.

Sorry for the late response, but I was out of town on business. Your accusation of me being an evil person is both ill-placed and illogical. Much like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where no one found the "land" to be valuable hundreds of years ago, when a certain race or breed of people made the land valuable, everyone wanted it only after the physical upgrades were made.

The blacks in Africa had no use for the land (agriculturally), until it was improved upon and life took on a human dignity of sustainable sustanence. Once established (by whites), that the land could become a way of life, the black envy took over. Now, they've kicked out all the Bill Gates' of agriculture, in the name racial equality. I respectfully suggest that if the blacks fail to PRODUCE the food from the lands previously proven to be productive, they've effectively cut off their nose, despite their face.

Someday, the politically correct world of ours will recognize the historical facts that blacks have FAILED in every attempt to be self-sufficient in non-third world life as we know it. I will not espose a theory on why this has been the a historically factual reality, although I have one, but I'd be interested in your refutation of my premise. Respectfully....JRR

You'd honestly laugh when people starve to death?

Aside from my response in post #187, let me expain what might seem to others as being cruel and cold hearted. When people decide that because of the color of ones skin, they are not entitled to their accomplishments/possessions, they take on the burden to prove that booty was illgotten.

Lets look at the oppression of Great Britain, and the creation of the USA as we know it today. People were not satisfied with all sorts of things, from religeous oppression, to taxation. The people decided to revolt, kick out the British and established a country that is far superior to any created in the history of mankind.

In Africa, the third world way of living (hunting & gathering, no real medical establishment, and a total lack of modern initiatives) was a way of life. Once it was established that a better way of life could be had by all, and a system was put in place to mine diamonds and gold efficiently, grow crops, etc. etc. etc., what happened. The entrepeneurs that risked their way of life (whites) reaped the benfits and established "community".

Only after the establishment of such accomplishments, did the "black" community protest that it was being left behind, even though it was the majority. In other words, I should be entitled to share in Bill Gates' wealth, because he created the technology dynasty in the same country that I live in. Its a BS arguement, but lets assume the US sided with my arguement and allowed me to take over the microsoft empire, solely on the basis of geography.

If I ran microsoft into the ground, and lost all of my money in the process, should Bill be concerned over my financial status. I think not. The same applies to the blacks in Africa. Instead of adopting the principles of capitalism, they chose dictatorship. In the process, they were unwilling or unable to sustain the productiveness of the most primitive essentials for life - food. This was their decision, their making, and their undoing. Therefore, its their fault. And the saddest part is that they chose to do so based on the color of ones skin. If quality of life, in their eyes, depended of skin color, they should at least be accountable for their failures of making decisions based on the color of ones skin.

And please don't ask for my hard earned money (taxes) to be sent over there to assist in their racially motivated failures.

Interesting. Well, all I know is that I'm shocked and slightly saddened that the comments about starvation made by Go Gordon has not generated any outrage whatsoever. This is extremely puzzling to me. I didn't know that the starvation of anyone was a laughing matter. Guess I'm wrong.

When it is self initiated, self propogated, and self-imposed, especially when it is racially motivated, what kind of support did you expect? Is it my fault the blacks in Africa kicked out the "white" farmers, and failed to take over the responsibilities to produce food. Your arguement makes you sound like an idiot. It is the equivilent of a person murdering their parents and then throwing themself on the mercy of the court because they are an orphin. Nuff said.....JRR

Millions around the world want your good life. But make no mistake: They care not for the high-minded ideals of Jefferson and Washington, and your Constitution or Bill of Rights. What they want are your possessions, your power, and your status.

EXACTLY my take all the time...hear THIS America! We are on that slippery slope,...God help us!

Interesting, as I know relatively little of the Roman Empire, and never had much interest.

>The Roman Latins settled the Seven Hills that make up Rome with archeology indicating that the area was settled by 1,000 B.C.

It strikes me that this seems very LATE in the history of the region. There was so much going on elsewhere in the Med region even a thousand years earlier. Egypt was booming, as was Assyria, Phoenicia, etc. in their times, and they were descrete peoples, and fairly defineable. Wonder what larger population group these early Romans came from?

Interesting link to early Rome.

>Down the center of Italy, through the Umbrian, Sabine, and Samnite country, were other Indo European tribes. All these peoples were blond intruders from the north, and were cousins to the Greeks.

Sounds like Celts, already.

Seems like I read long ago of a legend about their being a large early Exodus from Egypt, long before "the big one". These people supposedly sailed throughout the Med forming colonies, including what became Troy, Greece, Italy, etc., then westward to Spain, etc., but I've never been able to put that all together. Have you heard of that?

Open your eyes! Whites will not be a majority here much longer either and our ConGas reptiles just secured that truth tonight. The hispanics and muslims who are over-running us choose not to assimilate and are hostile to our culture. These people really do regard our humanitarianism as our weakness and laugh their asses off at us as they use our welfare system to subsidize their breeding.

The bottom line is that we will either bulkanize or become like SA or Zimbabwe. I really feel bad for my kids and if a country like Australia were to shed its' liberal skin I would pull them out of here in a heart beat. The third world is winning big and there seems to be no view except that the whites and their democratic ideals deserve No Homelands. I always wondered what it would be like to conciously witness one of the great turning points in history and unfortunately tonight I got my wish. As a white person who believes in democracy and never made a cent off the labor of minorities it gives me no pleasure to be among the few who really know this is the GotterDammerung for us!

One problem with South Africa is that African Blacks consistently test out as having median IQs in the 70-85 range, which turns into a problem in a technological world.

One of the arguments against allowing Eastern European immigration in the 1920's was that Eastern Europeans (mostly Jewish) were tested as having IQ's in this range. And most of the eugenics arguments about "breeding" poor people was made by English nobility against Irish immigrants in England. And we all know how stupid President Kennedy and President Reagan are. (Reagan's father was Irish Catholic).

And in Africa, many children are brain damaged from malnutrition. We saw a huge increase in academic ability in second generation African students: I.e. whose parents had education and jobs where they could feed children decently. South Africa and Rhodesia did some work in child nutrition, but as a whole, it was not a priority.

I could buy into that if it wasn't for the corresponding long-standing SAT/IQ Black/White gap here in the US. With obesity a highly visible problem in even poor areas, malnutition seems an unlikely cause. Particularly after read the part in "The Bell Curve" where the SAT scores of MIDDLE-CLASS ( $50K+ ) Blacks averaged lower than the SAT scores of poverty-range Whites.

The outcome of O.J. Simpson's trial, with one of the black jurors raising the right fist of solidarity at the announcement of the verdict is a perfect example of what this article addresses. I think it also applies to the Cincinnati riots, as well as others, where rioters basically got away with criminal behavior because of their skin color. To those who let people like Jesse Jackson and his gang speak for them, equality doesn't mean equality; it means getting even.

The Simpson trial was, to me, an eye opener. There are many fine black people in this country, but there are also many blacks who view whites the same way the Germans viewed the Jews (zany conspiracy theories and all). The difference is that the Jews were a small minorty and we are still the majority...for now
