How dare we judge the performances for ourselves!! We know nothing about skating. He is shocked that the question would be asked. Yeah, but the funny thing was, just a few minutes ago, wasn't he claiming that he didn't know anything about figure skating, so he didn't have an an opinion either?
"Sì - you see, the skating gods have descended and given their decision. There can be no questions. Grazie, and-a goodnight."
To: Chief Inspector Clouseau
Are you taking the case????
Who is paying you ????
Remember, follow the money!

The press is turning on this guy. Wow, that one reporter is asking if he fully understands the scope of this major public blow-out?
To: DJ88; Miss Marple
With any luck, the reporters will push this guy and he will explode.
Then CFR will fail.
And the Olympics will be the big story!!!

What did Bloom ask. I hate that I am missing this..CNN didn't even show it.
To: codebreaker
Gee, I thought the reason the US athletes couln't march into the opening ceremonies with the WTC flag is that the Olympics are not "political." Looks like a whole lotta Europolitics goin' on here!
To: DoughtyOne
And he comes back with "awarding medals based on EMOTION."
Big mistake!

Oh, you can bet that NBC will be replaying parts of this failed whitewash on prime time. This smells like ratings-galore.
Just wish I could see it live. But am thankful for the FR network.
To: codebreaker; all
Nothing here, folks.
Neither team, the Canadians or the Russians (LOL) have filed a complaint. He is saying since THEY haven't registered a complaint, what is the BIG DEAL?!
The President of the ISU is either living in a bubble, or he is stupid.

Long haired foriegn reporter 'Do you have any idea of the worldwide scope of this decision?'
To: grammymoon
Thank you everybody for an entertaining running commentary.Stuck in the office without a live stream. Thanks to FR, I know it all!!!
Same here, grannymoon. I'm passing on the comments made by this "diplomat" to the others around me. Most are incredulous, and the comment about him being booed got a big laugh!
Thanks fellow Freepers for keeping the rest of us informed...

This guy is probably in on the fix, since his country is going to finish 1st in Ice Dancing that hasn't occured yet! (According to the Toronto Globe) Right. How is anyone going to know which competitions are fixed and which aren't? The whole thing is f*$($$ up.
