After major life saving surgery many share the feelings after as your husband did. My uncle who had a quad bypass begged to die for a good 4-5 days post op. He made it through and today is just find. I too like inspirational stories, specially of amatuer athletes.

I liked the lighting of the flame at Barcelona. Where that guy shot a flaming arrow from the ground up and over into the cauldron. So cool.

So let me get this correctly: I live in Calif. the Olympics are in Utah and "NBC's Coverage will be 2 1/2 hours OLD" by the time it reaches my living room?

No, from what I read, I believe your coverage is even more delayed. NBC is delaying 40% of their coverage for all time zones so as to put the best stuff in prime time. THEN it is delayed a further 3 hours, waiting for California's prime time.

I am still waiting for NBC to finish showing all of the taped events from Sydney from over a year and a half ago- or did they finally finish that?

I left California almost 4 years ago to move back here to the Southeast. Even a lot of the Democrats here are more conservative than the radical socialists (a Michael Savage term) in Kalifornia. Don't worry, I am not even bothering to watch the Olympics-a lot of it is taped here also. What a joke!!
