What everone is missing is Dashole's (er, Hillary!'s) real strategy. It is to SINK THE ECONOMY! They don't want a recovery because that will help the Republican President! Only a bad economy could possibly cause unwitted sheeple to vote democrat this fall. If the economy recovers, then what happens to those potential demoncratic votes?

What we need is a new strategy. Let the democrats kill EVERY bill Bush proposes, and CONSTANTLY remind folks they'd be better off if DASHOLE WOULD JUST ALLOW A REAL VOTE!!!!!

DASCHOLE THE OBSTRUCTIONIST CARES MORE ABOUT YOUR VOTE THAN YOUR WALLET!!!!!

it will effectively give President Bush line-item veto power

But thats what they want him to do. You don't actually think they care about the unemployed? They want the Republicans to veto or defeat this stuff so they can go on the warpath on tv.

Always remember, the President is about 3 steps ahead of them at all times.

I agree.

As I'm watching C-Span during this delay, a message appears stating: "The delay allows absent Senators time to get to the floor or gives leaders a chance to negotiate." In other words, plotting how to screw us.

unemployment takes away from what they will "get" from social security some day

I should lose my job and go on unemployment then (joke). It's the only way I'll ever see a dime of the money stolen from my paychecks every month in the name of social security (not a joke).
